There's a saying, in fitness apparently, that 'Nothing FAILS Like Success..'
Let that sink in for a while...
When we think we've 'got it', in whatever it may be, that is when we're most vulnerable. That's when we're coasting, as it were.
I've been drug free for almost 7 years now. I still class myself as an addict and a user, but that I presently don't use. Every single day.
When I coast, and think 'Wow, it would be good to do another line at some point...', that's when I have to focus and concentrate.
We need to be on point, 100% of the time. Tiring, yes, but what's the alternative?
Best of luck.

it takes like five years of sobriety for the average user's mind to go back to normal. Don't beat yourself up it's one of those things that you have to be proud of yourself if at the end of the day you can say, I didn't use.

But it is possible to get entirely clean and never use again. People do it all the time. But it's a choice. Just like using. Good luck.
