if by compromise you mean
[i]a concession to something derogatory or prejudicial[/i] [b]a. compromise of principles[/b]
then yes and dont go there.
if you mean
[i] settlement of differences by arbitration or by consent reached by mutual concessions[/i]
then yes. it is very useful
[i]something intermediate between or blending qualities of two different things[/i]
that can be useful too

Context is everything. The rule I keep in mind is "Do you want to be right, or do you want to win?" I'll compromise if I win.

@MalteseFalconPunch Honestly this is what I mean by "win" and you need to set the bar for winning.

We should not compromise on the -goals- for climate change. But process? Sure. What if someone wants you to b ack a project you only half believe in to get their support for your thing? Okay fuck it let's do it. Those are compromises worth making in pursuit of a goal you do not compromise over.
