Well Sweeps and Peeps...we've lost another good one around here.

Tribute to Adogslife - upon his recent passing.

I noticed Adogslife had been absent for a while, then his account was put on "away" status, and still is. Reluctantly, I checked and was saddened to find his obituary.

I met him years ago and it escapes me now, if it was in the latter days of EP or the early days of SW. Either way, I always found him to be a pleasure to chat with. His kindness, optimistic outlook, and easy going spirit made it feel like I was talking to an old friend from day one. I never knew him to be unkind, or dishonest, negative, or inappropriate - I simply knew him as a genuine guy loving his life and after he was remarried, loving life with his new family. I'll truly miss our chats about all manner of things...Nantuckett, martial arts, pets, restaurants, fashion, cars...life...so many things.

He was an interesting, easy going person. The first time we ever spoke, I was watching a real estate/home improvement show. When I mentioned the city it was being filmed in, he immediately turned his TV to the same program. He began telling me all about the house, that neighborhood, how it used to be, about how much had changed since he'd lived there. I rolled my eyes, laughed, and said, "Yu-huh. Yeah, okay". But no, he began describing houses in the neighborhood before the camera ever panned past. His excitement was infectious. Thanks to him, with his exhuberent descriptions and personal perspectives, that remains the most interesting reality home improvement program I've ever seen and probably ever will.

I watched his memorial tribute tonight, and shed a few tears, but I could tell in the last few years, he loved and was loved in return, and he was happy. That makes me smile for him.

You were one of the good ones, and you will truly be missed, my friend. Rest in peace. ✝

"he loved and was loved in return, and he was happy."

Can any man ask for more? It sounds like a life well lived. Indeed R.I.P.

It hurts losing the good ones. He will be missed. 💔😥😥😥

I can't believe it😕 We chatted occasionally and he'd always talk about how he lived not far from me. He was always kind and I had no idea if he was ill?
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@Baybreeze I don't think so, the obituary said it was sudden and unexpected. Plus, a couple people had let me know his wife had posted that he had passed. In that post, she also said it was unexpected. He really was a good one - I will miss him around here.
Baybreeze · 41-45, F
@LadyBronte You just don't think it will happen especially to anyone you know.... that's really sad. Although I'm glad if he didn't suffer😔 I just still can't believe it.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@Baybreeze Same here. He was good guy.
That feels sad. Though I've been here for a while I never had the chance to meet his Profile. And it's a good thing to know that he "Loved and was Loved." Some people don't have that luxury.
Condolences to the bereaved.

A lot of time has definitely gone by. I remember seeing him post a few times. I think he was even on back on EP. Sad to hear this.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@Munumbis Yes. It seems to me I first met him on EP, but it has been so long ago, I can't be sure.
Longpatrol · 31-35, M
Oh that is sad news.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@Longpatrol Yes. I was saddened by it.

@Gibbon Yes, I had missed it. Thanks. I did just now, post a comment to his wife, although I am sure she probably won't see it.
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@LadyBronte I honestly believe we're losing more than we know. There have been a few who just disappeared the past two years.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@Gibbon I agree. I'm sure it happens more than we know. Unfortunately, when people are here anonymously, that's just what happens sometimes. 😕
