There are lots of silly things regarded as 'norms for your age group that often don't meet the reality of 'real life'.

Same for most of us.

The older i get the more i discover good things tend to happen as 'happy accidents'.
Not as a consequence of something you were looking for, more a consequence of something you weren't.
