I wish I knew. I usually need to wait till it becomes less relevant with time. Sometimes also being busy with multiple things to the point that you don't even have time to ruminate over stuff helps but I'm not sure if it's the healthiest way.

I don’t think you can, it’s just your personality to over analyze everything maybe? Maybe it wasn't so good.. who knows 😳

@YoMomma but it is a good thing and I just keep reading into everything way too much. I don’t know if I can stop it but I’m going to try

How exactly does your "overthinking" make things go bad?
If you know that, you can do a self-check and ask "Wait, Self--is this another example of my overthinking?"

@SomeMichGuy because I overthink things he says sometimes that really mean nothing and I think and think about it and make it into something and then I’m clearly sabotaging a really good thing I don’t want to ruin

By actually being aware that you have a problem. Just like being aware that you have dyslexia as a problem when reading or writing something down. Take it line by line

Bring your attention into the present moment. Into your body and into your senses and always into your current physical environment. Look around you.
Reach for the things that you like in the space. Enjoy your breath, the light, feel the change in your hands when you are holding a cold or a warm beverage or thing. Smell... Come back to life as it is happening now..

Stop looking for the failure to happen and enjoy the moments on a case by case basis.

Meds cut my overthinking in half. Now, I think about shit the standard amount.
