Always wandering or driving down roads or highways

For 10 years i dream of getting lost on busy highways. Sometimes i figure it out and sometimes i dont. I seem ti be looking for something i never find. Any ideas?
Maybe it's something you didn't finish in life or wasn't allowed to complete, or get closure on, so it's bothering you. Or could be something in life you never found, or a job you wish you had taken, something like that. Or perhaps a wish that you had gone to school or done more. It just sounds like you're feeling incomplete in some way. Maybe life has disappointed you and you wish you could have done more.

@LadyGrace curious. Sometimes the highway leads me back to a university to finish a degree. Ive been at that university twice in my dreams yet in reality i have finished 3 of them
@Lahey well it sure seems like something about that University is still bothering you. I think you need to resolve that before you can move on. Try to think about what it is that is exactly bothering you about it. Try to figure that out. Maybe you wish you had taken a different route in life because even going to that University doesn't seem to have fulfilled you. Were you pushed into going to that University? And what about after you accomplished that? How did you feel immediately after that? Were you still wondering what to do with your degree or whatever you got? You're stuck back there somehow. I'm hoping you won't waste your life on regrets though. It's never too late to start again, something else you would like to pursue in life but keep moving forward. It's a waste of life to live in the past but I know you can't help these dreams. Perhaps you're feeling like you didn't do enough in life. But there's always tomorrow. Always.
Maybe you're still looking for something that you have not found yet.
Sounds like you’re older now but still running against the wind.
@OlderSometimesWiser verse from an old song isn’t it 😉

From Hich school through my entire life in sports, military career, college course work, military schools/training, marriage and the divorce and raising my son and daughter by myself. I always felt empty inside and like there was a huge hole called happiness that I tried to push all accolades into.

Only when I stopped pushing to achieve and to be successful to develop my own personal relationship with God did that hole close. This is my own personal walk and place in my life, and what truly made me happy and complete inside to become the person I am today. This is all the advice I can give/offer, and you can choose for yourself whom or what you wish to follow.

Sincerely,
Good luck.

In my younger days, I would often ride on rural, often unpaved roads, until I got lost and then work my way back to a familiar spot. I stayed off of busy highways, but if that's your thing, give it a shot.

Your mind is wondering if you are on the right path in your life. Something is not all there yet. Is there something you always wanted to do, but haven't yet?

I would love to just drive down a highway, blasting music all night and just not having to care about anything, no stress, no voices (besides the music), just getting to scream and cry it all out.
