Recurring dream

Lately I keep having the same dream. I am a child again in school, but have all my lucid dreaming abilities. I stay for the classes I like but when it comes time for the classes I don't like, I make plans to ditch and go home early, and I know my mom will let me if I do in the dream. (She would have never when I was a kid in reality lol) The teachers each time I have the dream try to come up with new methods to keep me from leaving, not out of malice but just because they're trying to do their job and care that I get an education. Their efforts only serve to make me feel more rebellious and set on leaving.

I am successful at escaping from school every time and when I get out I'm usually flying through the air and feel amazing and such a sense of freedom. Despite this as the dream happens each time and each time I skip those classes I don't like another time, I know that it's actually working against me and the workload is piling up or my grade in the class is slipping. But each time I have the dream I still choose to leave.

I don't typically get recurring dreams so I wonder what this one means.
one of the possible interpretations of the dream...

you value freedom and sincere feelings and resist the pressure of social stereotypes, but at the same time you are aware that your social life will be less successful if you do not play the game more seriously.

I had many recurring dreams about school. Many of which in my younger days were what I thought the next day of school would be like. Other dreams I had about school were about days that already happened and sometimes what those days would have been like had they happened differently.
Perhaps overworked mentally in offline life.

@Lyfis2live Sort of makes sense. I haven't worked in months. Honestly I was traumatized by my last job, I was a psychiatric nurse. My mental health has been such a complete mess since both starting and ending that job that I haven't been able to get anywhere in life and feel like my goals have been pushed to the wayside. I want to get back to work (or rather I NEED to, not so much want to) but it's like I just can't find my footing anymore to get back up and going again.
@Ananke Once you talk it out with yourself, you will. Job is Not a big deal if you intend working.

Flying in dreams is almost always about escaping a situation. School in this case sounds like it's a stand-in for something you know you need to do, but you don't want to do. Not sure what your mom symbolizes in this situation. How do you feel about her?

@LordShadowfire Probably about going back to work. I think maybe my mom in the dream represents how my parents are supporting me during this time I can't really work thinking about it.
