How has it escaped NASA that many people don't believe the moon landings happened, and yet

They are launching Artemis II on April 1?

Have you researched why they are launching?
averageguy · 46-50, M
@pride49 it's irony
pride49 · 31-35, M
@averageguy why is Elon musk obsessed with going to Mars if the moon hasn't been landed on yet. Idk I don't understand this conspiracy stuff.
ABCDEF7 · M
The Artemis II mission will not land on the moon. It is a crewed flyby mission scheduled for 2026 that will orbit the moon to test the Orion spacecraft's systems with astronauts on board before future landing missions. The first human landing of the Artemis program is targeted for Artemis IV, no earlier than 2028.

@averageguy NASA is well aware of moon landing conspiracy theories, but maintains that overwhelming physical, photographic, and third-party evidence confirms the Apollo missions occurred. Evidence includes 382 kg of moon rocks, laser reflectors still used by scientists, and Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) images showing equipment and footprints.

@averageguy yes this one is clueless far too often
averageguy · 46-50, M
@Gibbon thank you, being gaslighted is fun!

Exactly it's interesting and yet we are rediscovering the Moon yet again yet again and yet again and have no time for expanding or bettering our world or exploring building new

Not a very space agey name either.
averageguy · 46-50, M
@Captainjackass they don't yet have the fun of an Elon in their midst. In their defense, this stupid program is way behind schedule and way over budget. It's called 🤔🤫, a government program
Just more waste.
