The day after Christmas has kind of a strange feeling.

I was leaving for work and a couple of my neighbors were already putting away their outdoor Christmas decorations, and the radio stations I listen in the car to had gone back to their normal playlists like they usually do.

I guess the best way I could describe it is a feeling like, "[Sigh] Well, that's all, folks. Time to go back to normal life" after all the hustle and bustle and fun of Christmas day. I do kind of struggle with depression especially this time of year, so maybe that might be some of it.

That's crazy. I think the whole point of Christmas decorations, especially lights, is to make dark days more comfortable. Most people keep them at least until January 1st, but I hate when they put them away then too. It's still dark, why not keeping them while days are still short? This is why January is so depressing but it really doesn't need to.

We keep the tree and lights at least till January 6 but usually longer.

@CrazyMusicLover My husband and I usually keep our tree and decorations up until the first week of January. We just slowly take our time taking everything down, no rush needed. There's been at least a couple times though where we had taken everything else down, but ended up leaving the tree up as late as February.

@Rose0415 If a live tree, it can become a fire hazard.
