7 months clean

I’ve got seven months clean from drugs and alcohol, and I’m proud of that. But the truth is, I’m still struggling badly with thoughts of using crack. The cravings can get incredibly strong, and sometimes I genuinely want to use. It’s frustrating because part of me knows exactly where that road leads, while another part of me still craves the escape.

I’m learning that having the urge doesn’t mean I’ve failed. It means I’m still fighting. Seven months clean proves I can choose not to act on those thoughts, even when they’re loud. I just have to keep taking it one day—and sometimes one craving—at a time.

@Lilnonames Thank you!
You will get stronger with time.

Honestly, ive led a checkered past and i wonder if the urge ever fully goes away.

Sometimes i smell it on other people at the supermarket, or i see others tweaking and it reminds me.
I remember the feeling.
I feel the want ..... still.

But it gets easier to dismiss as time moves on.

You've done so well.

Be proud.

Change is an incredibly difficult thing, esp when its something that makes us feel good,🤷‍♀
