I know how that goes.... I cracked the display on mine , so i ordered a new one from Amazon and replaced it myself ... I learned the wrong way to fix it by cracking it in the process... uugg
So i ordered another one and did it right.
$10 bucks each time..
Lol
Works great now

Verizon gave my a free Google Pixel, as long as I handed them my old phone and upgraded to unlimited service. About $80 a month. Yet I was already paying $70, so no problem.
But they pay for it in installments every month, so I think I am locked in for two years. I think if I switch carriers, I will have to pay off the balance.
Yet I plan to stay. Free $1000 phone!
My cable company wants me to switch to them, and are offering a free phone, too.

I had Verizon for my old landline. Back then, I had no mobile phone of any kind. Then I got cable-TV-company internet and voice, so dropped the Verizon landline.
When I shopped for my first smartphone (first ever mobile phone of any kind) ads and research suggested they had the best network. They owned the phone lines and even provided Internet and phone at work, so I figured they must be good. So I got a Samsung Galaxy at a Verizon store.
Yet last year my phone warped and some stranger saw it and said he sold phones and that meant the battery might explode! So I went shopping. I noticed some specials. I still thought I would have to pay something, though.
When the Verizon salesperson looked up my account, he said it had a free phone deal. I had to upgrade to unlimited (I had only had 3G a month. If I went over I had to pay $15).
I love unlimited. Also, I upgraded from 32 GB to 128 GB memory, and 4G to 5G. And a huge increase in battery life and notable speed increase.
I used to have to use battery saver mode and could only wait around for a few photos to upload when I posted them here. Now I fill my posts with photos since it is so fast now.

@JoyfulSilence Sounds like you kept your old phone a bit too long. But yes, if the phone is warping or buldging out the back it is time to pull the pin and run. 🤣🤣🤣

I always pay for insurance on mine, so if I did every crack mine. I'd get it replaced by the shop.

My Moto G30 has had a cracked glass for about a year and a half, it still works perfectly. Not as many cracks as yours though.

I've had my phone since the end of 2022, and surprisingly, I have not cracked it.

Yes I do.
The phone I had before my current one was so bad. I had literal chunks of screen falling off. 😅

My screen is still intact.
A few smudges from my fingers, a tiny scratch or two, but not cracked.
