@calicuz actually Nokia was offering a burner version at Walmart. That was my Nokia flip phone!

Burner phones were all prepaid service providers. You add minutes with a prepaid card.

@DeWayfarer Exactly. I get prepaid minutes. It costs me $108 for a whole year of service and I still have minutes to carry over to the next year.
