A pond is a lake without a thermocline, an imperfect lake.
I live by a deep lake, the water comes from the mountains. During summer, I swim in our lake daily. Its name and my family name are the same word, which starts with an "S".
The endlessness of the ocean frightens me and makes me feel uneasy.

Puddles hehe. Probably a pool. I'm not a very good swimmer so I haven't had much experience with those options.

My mother in law is trama tized by water too..

Because her first swim instructor just tossed kids in the water to teach them treading , float or drown routine ...

I love to surf in the ocean . I live on the Atlantic but the best waves I’ve caught were in the Indian Ocean. Biggest wave was the pacific .

I could do a remake of The Swimmer., with Burt Lancaster..great short story .. But cover way more territory :)
