Everyone went away on trips during vacations to Florida or islands or anywhere, and we couldn't. I couldn't attend a few class trips as well due to costs. Plus everyone essentially lived in a home, not an apartment.

Everyone seemed to know everyone else in town and at school. It took me a long time to learn it was because they all socialized together, which excluded my family, because we were dirt poor.

@Idontbelonghere I spent nearly all my childhood in care. I now don't blame my mum. She was an addict and never got control of that. I inherited that from her unfortunately.
