If you grew up poor what are some ways you realized you were different than friends and classmates ?

Everyone went away on trips during vacations to Florida or islands or anywhere, and we couldn't. I couldn't attend a few class trips as well due to costs. Plus everyone essentially lived in a home, not an apartment.
