How do you deal with a bully?

Fairydust · F
Call them out!!! Expose them for what they are.
antonioioio · 70-79, M
Their's only one reason why a bully will bully someone, is because their left get away with it,
I once saw a small little little woman tell a big 6 foot man, that he would have to go asleep sometime, his mouth opened wide and his eyes popped out of his head because he knew what it imployed and what it meant
antonioioio · 70-79, M
@TessDun your right about that, MOST,
Most people don't have the ability to think anyway
The dangerous one who do think and goes on to pick on gentle vulnerable people

@antonioioio How to get even with them?
antonioioio · 70-79, M
@TessDun they to know that you can't be bullied anymore
redredred · M
Go for the knees or eyes. There are very few one-legged, blind bullies.
th3r0n · 41-45, M
Depends on the circumstances, but absolute and terrifying force is one way

Of course when they give up and don't want to fight anymore that's a good time to talk to them about the error or their ways
th3r0n · 41-45, M
@TessDun temptation exists for many things, but when we know what we should do and don't do it, we do wrong

I find that bullies are usually foolish misled people; they won't give in easily unless they feel they are overpowered by someone but if you can get them to back down they're more likely to listen than one might expect, and you might even change their life and the lives of their would-be victims
TessDun · 36-40, F
@th3r0n There is this bully at work. I told the mentors and superiors about her actions. One senior colleague emailed the superiors and clients about her technical erros at work, in response also to her bad attitude. Now she is so timid, and depressed to a point that she asked for the help of HR to reprimand the senior who exposed her. Almost all superiors are not on her side. Bullies should be shamed, that is the only way they can be tamed.
th3r0n · 41-45, M
@TessDun sometimes they're willing to back down and see another way

If they think they can still get the upper hand, sometimes their stubbornness isn't broken yet

Think of it as dealing with a misbehaved kid that grew up and never learned to treat people right
sam1992 · 31-35, M
I don't have time for them .

You have to call them out and challenge them, normally they are insecure people and bullying is how they make themselves feel better. Once challenged its no longer something that makes them feel better

Don't feed them or the behavior. If we bully them back we are exactly like them.
TessDun · 36-40, F
@SW-User But if one will not react they might think what they do is okay
SW-User
@TessDun They will know it's not, when they push me too far. I don't usually stoop to pettiness until I have to.

I used to be a bully, and one of the people I picked on stood up to me when they’d had enough. It was awful. 😢
TexChik · F
Attack…with everything I’ve got . Whether it’s a verbal or a physical confrontation .
TessDun · 36-40, F
@TexChik Yes,, they deserve same or more pain than what they inflict
smiler2012 · 61-69

SW-User

An adult bullying yourself or a kid bullying another kid?
TessDun · 36-40, F
An adult bullying an adult@Queendragonfly
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
@TessDun I'd tell them they act small minded and their insecure behaviour is petty.
