Why do people always choose to be able to fly over mindreading?

Really? You've been on this site as long as you have and you'd really want to know even more about what's going on in people's heads?

Imagine walking into a crowd and hearing all of peoples thoughts at the same time.
It would probably eventually drive you mad.

I'm pretty sure it's one of those "be careful what you wish for" things.

No one even offered me choices like that. where do i sign up ?? LOL

mindreading would only be useful if you could also "push" thoughts/actions into them as well (i.e. hypnotic suggestion that works 100%); otherwise it's not difficult to discern what many people are thinking by their character, actions, etc. even without super powers... 🤔

Flying has a freedom to it, soaring up in the skies.
Mindreading on the other hand seems burdensome. Imagine everyones thoughts just pouring in to you. It feels like an overload, an attack, and definitely a recipe for nervous system dysregulation.

I don’t know I would like what I read/hear. Cant we have both?
I could fly away if I get tired of reading/hearing peoples thoughts

I’m afraid of heights so I’d prefer to read minds
