Why do people always choose to be able to fly over mindreading?

How does that get you further in life? Being invisible would be good, being able to see what some turds doing who's messed you about or catch people slagging you off.

mindreading would only be useful if you could also "push" thoughts/actions into them as well (i.e. hypnotic suggestion that works 100%); otherwise it's not difficult to discern what many people are thinking by their character, actions, etc. even without super powers... 🤔
