Do you mean when He was here on Earth or after? God has a spiritual body. One made for heaven. When Jesus came to this earth, died on the cross and then was resurrected, He did that, to show us what will happen to us, our body, and spirit, when we die. Our spirit never dies. Our body stays in the grave, but will be changed into a spiritual body instead of one of flesh, on Resurrection Day, and then join our spirit.

I believe the question is:
Is there anything that stops God from taking a 'human body'?
Technically, it isHis body.
God is, by definition, the creator, the creation, and the material for the creation. Nothing is 'not God'. God has the power to do whatever he wants. Why do we thinkGod isbound by human logic or any human conceivablereasons?

There are two answers; the stupid popular one and the boring real one. I've always preferred the latter over the former.
God is a word that in every language known to man ever known means something or someone mighty and/or venerated. So a God can be human or non-human. So a God would have a human body if someone somewhere thought that a human was mighty and/or venerated. For example, the ancient Greek word Zeus was used for supreme god (they had many gods) but was also used for their rulers. The Oxford dictionary defines God as, among other things, "an adored, admired, or influential person." Examples are Eric Clapton, Kim Jong Un, and in the Bible, Moses, the judges of Israel and Jesus.
Though not human, the Bible also calls the angels gods. Angels are spirit creatures; the ancient Hebrew and Greek words translated as spirit means an invisible active force, so, it can also be translated as wind, breath, or be applied to compelled mental inclination
(mean spirited, high spirits) or spirit beings such as angels. The word angel means messenger and is also applied to spirit beings as well as humans, but when it is used for humans it is translated simply as messenger. Since spirit creatures are invisible when they are acting as messengers they can take on a human form. In the Bible, when they do that, they can be referred to by humans as either "man," "angel," "God," or even by God's personal name, "Jehovah," because they are speaking as a direct representative of Jehovah God. Michael, the firstborn of all creation and God's son, is the chief of all angels, or archangel. He is also the primary and senior representative or spokesperson for God, which means when an angel appeared to men it was most likely Michael. Michael, a spirit creature, also came to earth in human form as Jesus, and due to his position as God's primary spokesperson was referred to as the Greek "Logos" or "Word" of God.
Rebellious angels also took on the form of humans in the days of Noah so that they could have sex with women, producing offspring who were unusually tall and powerful human hybrids. They were such a destructive influence on mankind at that time that God brought about the global flood, at which time the angels had to leave their human form and their offspring, called the Nephilim, were destroyed.

Humans have made up countless gods.
"We are all atheists about most of the gods that humanity has ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further.”

@Zenbra He’s a biologist. 9/11 is the reason for the atheist bestsellers. My favorite book by him is Unweaving the Rainbow.

Humans are the product of evolution. You got to wonder what kind of environment would cause god to evolve something basic, like hands, legs, feet, or eyes , nose and a mouth.

That is not the way I view God. Others read the bible as being the literal fact, it says man was made in the image of God.

He doesn’t. We were created in his image so that means we have godly bodies
I don’t, no. Same.
@JustGoneNow same
It's said that we were created in the image of what created us, so that's why people think God looks like a human. But I think it's silly and extremely misogynistic to even assign GOD a gender, let alone think that God looks like a human. Everybody refers to GOD as "he", which means they think GOD has a penis and a penis is for reproduction, which means they think God needs to rely on mortality, also means GOD must have came from a vagina, which means whatever birthed God is the true God. Giving GOD a gender is very stupid IMO. There's only 1 true GOD and that is whatever created everything around us. I don't believe in evolution and I don't believe in the big bang theory, so the real GOD created whatever created us, etc. GOD created this entire realm which makes existing & consciousness even possible, and that wasn't the doing of something that looks like a humanoid person like us.
