There are two answers; the stupid popular one and the boring real one. I've always preferred the latter over the former.
God is a word that in every language known to man ever known means something or someone mighty and/or venerated. So a God can be human or non-human. So a God would have a human body if someone somewhere thought that a human was mighty and/or venerated. For example, the ancient Greek word Zeus was used for supreme god (they had many gods) but was also used for their rulers. The Oxford dictionary defines God as, among other things, "an adored, admired, or influential person." Examples are Eric Clapton, Kim Jong Un, and in the Bible, Moses, the judges of Israel and Jesus.
Though not human, the Bible also calls the angels gods. Angels are spirit creatures; the ancient Hebrew and Greek words translated as spirit means an invisible active force, so, it can also be translated as wind, breath, or be applied to compelled mental inclination
(mean spirited, high spirits) or spirit beings such as angels. The word angel means messenger and is also applied to spirit beings as well as humans, but when it is used for humans it is translated simply as messenger. Since spirit creatures are invisible when they are acting as messengers they can take on a human form. In the Bible, when they do that, they can be referred to by humans as either "man," "angel," "God," or even by God's personal name, "Jehovah," because they are speaking as a direct representative of Jehovah God. Michael, the firstborn of all creation and God's son, is the chief of all angels, or archangel. He is also the primary and senior representative or spokesperson for God, which means when an angel appeared to men it was most likely Michael. Michael, a spirit creature, also came to earth in human form as Jesus, and due to his position as God's primary spokesperson was referred to as the Greek "Logos" or "Word" of God.
Rebellious angels also took on the form of humans in the days of Noah so that they could have sex with women, producing offspring who were unusually tall and powerful human hybrids. They were such a destructive influence on mankind at that time that God brought about the global flood, at which time the angels had to leave their human form and their offspring, called the Nephilim, were destroyed.
