It's kinda crazy that people still follow religion lmao

Nutty folks out there
I don't follow a religion. There's not one denomination in this world that can save us, but Jesus can. Religion didn't die on the cross to save us from the condemnation that sin placed on us...the person of Jesus did. And Jesus didn't die for just certain denominations. John 3:16 tells us that Jesus died to save the whole world, not just some, and that without Him, we won't be able to see the kingdom of God, as we cannot drag our sins into heaven.

I think it's crazier that people ignore what God said about how to get to heaven, and miss Heaven altogether. Eternity is a long time to get it wrong. What's nuts... is to not care about your own soul, and let it go to hell. There's no changing one's mind once they cross over and see that God is real. None will be laughing if they miss heaven.

@LadyGrace all made up to get people into an obedient self hating mindset so they will bow to big daddy government. That is my theory!

Doctor Crazy Pants. I don't think you are in any position to judge.
@Matt85 None will be laughing, when they miss heaven, will they? I wish people would take God more seriously. I know I'll see you there, brother.

@LadyGrace True. Was hoping I might entice him with humour.

Most people are leaving religion and becoming secular and more spiritual. Some follow more alternative forms of spirituality like meditation, wicca, Magick and Paganism.

Personally i'm spiritual and I believe "god" is an impersonal form of energy that permeates and connects the whole universe/multiverse. I'd rather worship the sun and the earth, the earth and sun provides for us and we came from it and will return to it, I'll call them mother earth and father sun.

I don't like organized religion and how restricting it is and how people fight and kill each other over it and take their creation stories literally.

I like to think it’s slowly losing influence and being phased out. At least in the Western world.

I don't think you need a religion to try to be a good person. I think if everyone loved their neighbour the way Christianity teaches, the world would certainly be a better place to live.
@Jemimapuddleduck That is true, but God also said it's not about being good, in order to have eternal life in heaven. Religion and our performance, have nothing to do with salvation, and everything to do with God's atoning for our sins on the cross, and His promise to save those who will allow him to.

I am not religious, but I wouldn't go so far as to dismiss it as silly. I believe one should only critique things they are capable of understanding.
I wouldn't call it crazy. Indoctrination is very powerful, especially when you don't hear any other viewpoints, and interactive websites have only been around for two decades. There's even many people still alive from the time there was little to no television and local society was all they had. But with critical thinking more encouraged and a wider variety of information easily available, it is understandably changing quickly.
