I respect your decision, but honestly, being a believer in Christ, I've never seen nor witnessed anyone wanting to deliberately harm my community or anyone else. Just the opposite. Jesus told us to love everyone and not judge anyone, including all religions. I feel great freedom in my Savior. There's no reason to hide anything. Jesus tells us the truth, and the truth sets us free. I'm not forced to do anything I don't want to do. I don't follow Christ because I have to. I follow him because I want to and I find joy, peace, and love from him and because I'm thankful for what he did for me on the cross to save my soul, which no one else could have provided me with. There's freedom in Christ, but Satan would have us believe it's all bondage, as he doesn’t want us trusting Christ to save our soul. Being in bondage is being condemned by sin without a Savior to rescue us.
@thechik96 well that's your prerogative if you think he was not divine and was crazy. I'm not arguing with that, if that's what you want to believe.
thechik96 · 26-30, F
@LadyGrace it absolutely is. There's proof he existed but I don't believe he was actually above any other man.
@thechik96 That's okay, honey. I'm not here to, nor wanting to, argue with anyone here. Everybody has a right to believe what they want. I just enjoy talking about the Lord because he's done so much for me and I can't help but want to share. He saved my daughter from dying. The doctors all gave up and told her she only had a week to live and she was making all the funeral arrangements and the doctor said all her organs were already shutting down. I have pictures and proof. My poor baby went from like 185 lb down to 89 lbs and looked like a skeleton, it was so scary but the family got together and prayed for her and God healed her instantly. Now I know that sounds impossible, but with God all things are possible and that's why it is called a miracle. He has also saved me many times when I could have died. And I don't think it's fair for people to say oh that was just your imagination when we witnessed it with our own eyes. I wouldn't do that to anyone else. She recovered fully and is still alive years later. Prayer works and so does God on our behalf. I'm just so thankful he saved my soul or I would have been lost forever. I hope you have a great rest of the evening honey.

And then this other man I know, who didn't believe in God, was so depressed, at 17 he lost all hope and went down his basement to hang himself. He got on the stool and put the noose around his neck and dropped. But God saved him that day because the rope broke and he was so glad because he knew God saved him that day from dying. God had other plans for him and even Jeremiah 29:11 says that God does have great plans for us to help us and not hurt us. To give us hope and a future and that's what he did for Dean that day. And that very day, he gave his heart and life to the Lord and invited him into his heart and life as Savior, and Dean was so grateful to God for saving his life that he dedicated his whole life to God and became a minister. He was my minister and a couple years ago he died of old age but he loved the Lord so much and I've never heard a preacher preach so good. I've never heard another one preach that good. And during the service one time I saw it with my own eyes. This man in the middle of the service had the most terrible seizure during the sermon and Dean didn't blink an eye. Dean had so much faith. I've never seen anyone have so much faith and he led many people to the Lord. But he kept on preaching and walked right over to this guy and just laid his hands on his head and started praying for him and that sees your stopped instantly. I know God heals but yet I was just flabbergasted to see it in person like that hahaha. I saw it with my own eyes he stopped the worst seizure I've ever seen right in its tracks and went right on preaching. Hahaha that's what God can do for anybody and he loves everybody no matter if they love him or not. Thanks for listening.

I read your comment about Christianity.
What scares people way from that is that if you believe in God then you have to believe the Devil .
That's what scares people ' going to hell and all of that .
I read up about saints and they have great briefs.
The devil part scares people away .
I'm very open and have no bothers talking about my beliefs .
Christianity works for me cause I suffered most of my life , so I'm used to suffering , so when the Devil voice or if you want to say it in another way when it concerns people the low self worth voice comes in I'm used to it .
The voice don't get me most of the time and what happens with that is solitude and peace .
In times when life gets that big harder I changed to Buddhism but still have the belief very strong to Christianity as well .
I'm very open to beliefs and I say that's what got me through my life
I love listening to Chinese Japanese Buddhists .
When they explain about life . They keep life very simple without scaring the crap out of you .
That's what works for me and if paganism works for you , stick to it cause that belief you have about you brings in a security to your life
@thechik96 I never said you said anything ma'am. Are you Rosie? I was speaking to her and she is the one that said that and here's her reply:

"You will not finish with what you originally said. King James was proven to have changed the Bible to meet his needs as a king."

I don't know but I'm leaving this conversation. I don't even know why this King James thing was brought up because I didn't even mention it in my answers. Thanks for the chat.
thechik96 · 26-30, F
@LadyGrace King James is the most widely used Bible amoung church bodies. That's why it was mentioned. Yes I'm Rosie. Have fun enjoy your beliefs. Just debating not hating.
@thechik96 Oh right, you're absolutely right. It is. Thanks for explaining that. ❤🫂

If that’s what works best for you then that’s great! However, for what it’s worth, I worship the Christian God and I believe he wants the best for my community and wants us to be who we are and not to hide it too. I don’t let the loudest human voices tell me who my god is.

My problem has never been with the concept of God it was the actions and condemnations of his people and the hypocrisy of those people in general that turned me away. Because if you look at the words of man they make no sense how can a God be ultimate Vengeance and unyielding power but yet be ultimate forgiveness kindness and balance the two are complete opposite that is like saying God and the devil are one in the same it makes no sense. Therefore their words make no sense. You cannot have belief and pick and choose when it applies. Also I follow a God that encourages me to stand strong to be the best that I can be to live to my full potential not subjugate myself as a slave and be used by others or be martyred. My God tells me to fight and protect my family to stand for the values that I believe in not too bow down to other men but only so humbleness before my creator.

@thechik96 to each their own not my kind of music I'm more of a gangster, and I also listen to a wide genre including Viking music by Peyton Parrish as well as Native American spiritual music. But I get your concept
leotheromeo · 36-40, M
@KingofBones1 The very reason of the things you are saying: " How can a God be ultimate justice and unyielding power and and ultimate love and forgiveness at the same time..." is the reason why "Christ was crucified before the foundation of the world... if God didnt care about maintaining these aspects of his character in tact, he would have said " fuck it , I dont care about any of this stuff anymore" but thats not the case... look at the amount of suffering that was self initiated....by punishing the sins of all the people who He wants to continue to love on Christ(Himself basically), he satisfies his anger and wrath and justice and His love prevails.

You are wrong in one thing though, when you said "unyielding power"...He yielded to His own love by basically massacrating Himself, or his Son, however you want to see it to be able to love us inspite of His desire to punish us for Him being "ultimate vengeange and justice".

@leotheromeo my understanding of my creators will.

Use the intelligence you were given after that rely on his help do not just throw your hands up in the air and say please do he gave you a brain for a reason

It is okay to forgive but you don't have to become a martyr if someone tries to kill you it is your right to defend your life you don't just sit there and throw yourself to the Lions if you do well we know how that turns out

God gives you strength to stand he does not give you strength to lay down and my God fights beside me not for me if I am not willing to fight then why would he defend me that is not how it works

Also God does not come down and handle problems for us that we are not willing to try to handle ourselves. You cannot throw yourself in front of a moving train and then have someone say give me Justice.

Let's just say I have a much different understanding and it's a person who has been on death's doorstep quite a few times in my life and had some very clear conversations with my Creator and the other side I think I have a pretty decent understanding

My belief frowns on stating one's former belief. To state the new is enough.
thechik96 · 26-30, F
@EarthGirl unfortunately that sort of brainwashing belief system is what keeps people in dangerous cults too. Of course your religious sector doesn't want you to leave it. Their aim is to keep you complacent
@EarthGirl I think that was okay. She was just explaining her former belief and why she switched. There's nothing wrong with that.

I’m sorry you never understood Jesus.
Pfuzylogic · M
@thechik96 Again, I am sure you never understood Jesus. He promises a helper once you believe and it looks like you stayed on your own.
thechik96 · 26-30, F
@Pfuzylogic he's never shown me a bit of help. Read the Bible cover to cover 3x. To each their own but Christianity isn't for me.

@thechik96
God has rescued me many times in my life.
You searched yourself and found you didn’t belong.
I do find much beauty in the living Christ.
You do what speaks to.you

Always remember that the god and the goddess BOTH worship a power that is higher than they are.

How do different pantheon of Gods co-exist?
ABCDEF7 · M
@RisingMorningStar7 Unfortunately such poor understanding is still active today in many minds, leading to disharmony and wars. Otherwise no one should be concerned about what other think about their version of God, and if many Gods can co exist. It's just every religion has their own definition of God. It is senseless to impose your definition of God on others.
Blackie · 51-55, M
@RisingMorningStar7 All existing gods were all created by the same supreme being so although they were given nations to rule over after the tower of babble and guide their people to the worship of the Almighty they took the worship for themselves and in doing so separated themselves from the almighty. All the gods are still below the one almighty father who sent his only son to die for us as a sacrifice so that we may not be tied to these lesser gods and have to provide sacrifice for their favor and appeasement.
@ABCDEF7
It's just every religion has their own definition of God. It is senseless to impose your definition of God on others.

This forum is for friendly discussion. It's important to respect everyone's unique beliefs about God. The intention is to amicably share beliefs and explain their personal meaning. We can all learn from each other. We might hear something we've never thought about nor heard before, and that would be valuable and helpful towards making informed decisions. In this way, perspective is being shared, not imposed. It's not about who's right and who's wrong. We can all show each other respect, as adults. It is interesting to learn about different perspectives on God and other subjects.
