I used to be a Christian

Converting to paganism was the best decision I've ever made. My Gods have my back and don't wish harm on my community. I'm encouraged to be who I am and never hide it.

My problem has never been with the concept of God it was the actions and condemnations of his people and the hypocrisy of those people in general that turned me away. Because if you look at the words of man they make no sense how can a God be ultimate Vengeance and unyielding power but yet be ultimate forgiveness kindness and balance the two are complete opposite that is like saying God and the devil are one in the same it makes no sense. Therefore their words make no sense. You cannot have belief and pick and choose when it applies. Also I follow a God that encourages me to stand strong to be the best that I can be to live to my full potential not subjugate myself as a slave and be used by others or be martyred. My God tells me to fight and protect my family to stand for the values that I believe in not too bow down to other men but only so humbleness before my creator.

@Rosie95 I don't need to listen to any songs I'm part Native American so I understand it better than a lot of people

@Rosie95 to each their own not my kind of music I'm more of a gangster, and I also listen to a wide genre including Viking music by Peyton Parrish as well as Native American spiritual music. But I get your concept

@KingofBones1 The very reason of the things you are saying: " How can a God be ultimate justice and unyielding power and and ultimate love and forgiveness at the same time..." is the reason why "Christ was crucified before the foundation of the world... if God didnt care about maintaining these aspects of his character in tact, he would have said " fuck it , I dont care about any of this stuff anymore" but thats not the case... look at the amount of suffering that was self initiated....by punishing the sins of all the people who He wants to continue to love on Christ(Himself basically), he satisfies his anger and wrath and justice and His love prevails.

You are wrong in one thing though, when you said "unyielding power"...He yielded to His own love by basically massacrating Himself, or his Son, however you want to see it to be able to love us inspite of His desire to punish us for Him being "ultimate vengeange and justice".

@leotheromeo my understanding of my creators will.

Use the intelligence you were given after that rely on his help do not just throw your hands up in the air and say please do he gave you a brain for a reason

It is okay to forgive but you don't have to become a martyr if someone tries to kill you it is your right to defend your life you don't just sit there and throw yourself to the Lions if you do well we know how that turns out

God gives you strength to stand he does not give you strength to lay down and my God fights beside me not for me if I am not willing to fight then why would he defend me that is not how it works

Also God does not come down and handle problems for us that we are not willing to try to handle ourselves. You cannot throw yourself in front of a moving train and then have someone say give me Justice.

Let's just say I have a much different understanding and it's a person who has been on death's doorstep quite a few times in my life and had some very clear conversations with my Creator and the other side I think I have a pretty decent understanding
