@
riseofthemachine I was surprised to hear you say this. Of course this choice is up to you, however, whomever one chooses to worship, doesn't change the reality that we'll all still have to face eternity in one of two places, so our decision is important, to say the least. Jesus didn't come to scare anyone. He came to
save us
from that scary place called hell, and the condemnation sin placed on us. It's not about religion at all. And we don't
have to be scared, if we prepare our souls for eternity, before it's our time to leave this place.
Religion can't save anybody, but Jesus can. Religion didn't die on the cross to save us, but the person of Jesus did. Jesus didn't come to condemn the world. He came to save it, as stated in John 3:16 and 17. If we miss that important truth, we'll miss everything, because there's no such thing as reincarnation in the Bible. Salvation has nothing to do with religion. It has to do with Jesus dying on the cross so we
can have eternal life in heaven. We cannot step into a holy heaven with sin on our heels. When we ask Jesus to forgive us, he promises to do so. He is our best friend, not our enemy. He's the only one that has the power to save us. Satan wants just the opposite.
Jesus turns no one away. I don't know about you, but I am certainly not going to trust my soul to man-made gods. There's no such thing as a second chance, once we cross over. Eternity means just that... forever. We can't afford to gamble with our own soul or get it wrong. One of the Ten Commandments is that we cannot get to heaven by worshipping two gods. That doesn't work and here's why.
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. ... No one comes to the Father except through me." John 4:16
If I was not a born-again believer, I would be more terrified of all those other religions and gods out there, that
didn't tell me, I can prepare my soul for eternity and avoid hell! What good are they?
