Will You Answer God?

2“Who is this who darkens counsel
By words without knowledge?
3Now [a]prepare yourself like a man or woman;
I will question you, and you shall answer Me.
4“Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?
Tell Me, if you have understanding.

I wasn't but I know the One who was there. His name is Jesus.

5Who determined its measurements?
Surely you know!
Or who stretched the [b]line upon it?

Not me but I know the One who did?

6To what were its foundations fastened?
Or who laid its cornerstone,
7When the morning stars sang together,
And all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Not me but I know the One who fastened the foundations of the earth and laid its cornerstone.

If you want to answer these questions, make sure you give evidence to back up your answers.

Book of JOB is very humbling.

@GodSpeed63 in that case, I have already proven that I am a six-foot tall extraterrestrial raven living in a Victorian manor on Mars with an anthropomorphic hyena from what your scientists call Gliese 12-B, as well as a literal troll from an uncharted planet orbiting a nebula.

It is up to you to prove otherwise.

In other words, you have nothing which explains this foolish answer of yours.

@GodSpeed63 You must disprove what I have already proven, sir, by your own logic.

Job 42

7 After the Lord had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has. 8 So now take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and sacrifice a burnt offering for yourselves. My servant Job will pray for you, and I will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly. You have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.” 9 So Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite did what the Lord told them; and the Lord accepted Job’s prayer.

10 After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before. 11 All his brothers and sisters and everyone who had known him before came and ate with him in his house. They comforted and consoled him over all the trouble the Lord had brought on him, and each one gave him a piece of silver[a] and a gold ring.

12 The Lord blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys. 13 And he also had seven sons and three daughters. 14 The first daughter he named Jemimah, the second Keziah and the third Keren-Happuch. 15 Nowhere in all the land were there found women as beautiful as Job’s daughters, and their father granted them an inheritance along with their brothers.

16 After this, Job lived a hundred and forty years; he saw his children and their children to the fourth generation. 17 And so Job died, an old man and full of years.

@Carazaa Oh, I see. So it's okay that God killed all of Job's farm animals and murdered his entire family, because he replaced them. So the lesson here is that humans are replaceable?
Carazaa · F
@LordShadowfire We are very replaceable, yes. God can take any one of us anytime. That's why it's important to be right with God. If we trust in Jesus our home is in heaven not here on earth.

Not playing

So who's playing?
JSul3 · 70-79
@GodSpeed63 I am not playing.
I am not going to get into an exchange in which you will use the same tired excuses for things that can not be verified in a book that has been translated multiple times or events in which some 'great entity' was selective in his use of power....rationalizing things that can not be rational.

Done.

Good to know. Neither am I.

Why don't you ask Red?

I did but he hasn't answered me yet.
JSul3 · 70-79
@GodSpeed63 Perhaps he chooses not to engage.

Which "god" are you talking about, there's trillions of deities humans worshipped.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Peaceandnamaste
there's trillions of deities

But, there's only one God, the one who created the heavens and the earth; who also wrote His Word in the Scriptures of His Holy Bible. BTW, for your information, He hates man made religion.
Umile · 41-45, F
Oh snap.

I bet it was.

Still on Genesis.

But I will read that one now.

👌
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
Oh, cool! You're addressing my favorite Old Testament story of all time! The one where God ruins the life of a faithful worshipper and murders dozens of people just to settle an argument with Satan.

What a stand-up guy he is, huh? Rewarding blind faith with torture?
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@GodSpeed63 demonstrate that your conclusions are a result of guessing rather than assurance

The conclusions are a result of, and constrained by, the demonstrable evidence.

Evidence that destroys your unsupported claims based on the supernatural.

Which is why you run away from the evidence.

...and what is 'assurance' meant to be? Do you accept something just because it makes you feel good?

Seriously? 😂
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@LordShadowfire @newjaninev2
Do you accept something just because it makes you feel good?

I accept the Truth whether it makes feel good or not. I can't say that about you two. Scientific articles as well as fallible scientists don't always tell the truth about science. Yet, gullible people, like yourselves, buy into their so called guess work. A lot of us were also gullible also until we met Jesus Christ who showed us the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@GodSpeed63 Wow. I can't tell if you're trolling or if you genuinely do not comprehend the scientific method in the slightest. But you've made it quite clear that no matter where the evidence leads, you're going to keep your eyes shut, your fingers in your ears, and keep reciting verses from your bibble babble Bible bubble.
