They are real.
At some spiritual plane, every religion, every belief exists together like they are one but known by different names.
When we looked at the past and those interreligious disputes, forceful conversations, we see one is trying to dominate over other which was not needed. Without understanding actual reality and logic behind the existence of the higher entities, they kept thinking that only their beliefs were true and not the others.
What else demon would want, seeing hatred in the heart of humans for each other, he will be happy. Negative entities have always dominated the world at some period of time and they are trying to delude human mind so that we will be easily get misleaded.
Hence read some of the ancient scriptures. I am reading ancient Vedic literatures like Upanishads, Bhagvad Geeta, Tripura Rahasya, etc. They are talking about the nature of reality, human mind, time, the universe, non duality, multiverse, space, etc.
I maybe different from your religious beliefs, but I saw some entities from other religions beliefs in the dreams too. Those are too strong. Especially negative entities are trying to dominate, they are trying everything to dominate our mind with fear, distractions, delusions, hatred, etc.
On the other hand, the positive entities are giving hope and guiding towards realisation. They always give us a free will, so we can choose path with open mind.

It's complicated.
I believe there are energy beings made of pure positive energy, and energy beings made of pure negative energy. What I don't believe in is an all-powerful being who is 100% good who made the energy beings made of pure positive energy. I also don't believe in an all-powerful evil being who made the beings that are made of pure negative energy.
