I Pray for My Life and Yours

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:

where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;

where there is doubt, faith;

where there is despair, hope;

where there is darkness, light;

where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,

to be understood as to understand,

to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive,

it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.

So if a gay person is sad, finds someone they love and receive joy...is that cool?
If a woman is in despair because she was raped or isn't ready for a child and hopes to be free following an abortion...is that cool?
If a hard working immigrant is escaping the darkness of violence and poverty to come to the U.S. for some light for his family...is that cool?
Hope so.
That's a beautiful prayer, often attributed to Saint Francis of Assisi. It reflects a profound desire for peace, love, understanding, and compassion, both for oneself and for others. The prayer's emphasis on being an instrument of peace and love resonates deeply with many people across different faiths and beliefs. Thank you for sharing it.
