How does Jesus get 'into' a person's heart? Jesus is not alive, allegedly. if Jesus is alive Jesus is not human therefore will be 'incompatible' with human flesh and blood physisology.
If you have not been saved already, and if you would like to be saved, then repent of your sins with a sincere heart, and ask Jesus to forgive your sins.
As a Southern Baptist we are taught that yes we do , admit we are sinners and ask his forgiveness before God . It is only then that we are saved ( basically John 3:16)
You have to repent by confessing your sins and declare you are saved by Jesus's ultimate final Sacrifice on the cross and He risen up in 3 days. Which is the Victory over Death/Sin. The only sinless and the only way.
@Agent Usually I don't like to preach hell, but since you asked if someone doesn't accept Jesus into their lives then eventually they'll go to hell. Jesus is the only way to heaven.
@PatKirby It says Enoch was taken away. It doesn't explicitly state he went to heaven. Jesus' parabel of Lazarus and the rich man suggests there is a waiting place, though since it's a parabel we don't know whether Jesus meant that place literaly.
Anyway I intended to give @Agent a clear general answer, not to cover every theological side discussion there might be.
@Emosaur Isn't there a passage in the Koran about someone asking lord Jesus if he's going to Heaven even though he sinned a lot in his life, and he replies shush don't tell anyone they're going to Heaven anyway, lest they sin without limit knowing they'll be forgiven?
@zonavar68 In both comments I prefaced my statement by saying
" If you are asking from a Christain perspective", then.....
That's what my disclaimer was referring to sir. That the information that I am providing is from a Christian perspective. Never mind the fact that the OP is obviously asking about Christian beliefs. Thus I was actually going out of my way to acknowledge that not everyone shares my beliefs dedpite OP asking for Christian beliefs. Either you didn't comprehend what I wrote or you just want to attack.
@REMsleep Ok well as I'm a person who has been both deeply religious and is now deeply irreligious, I am uniquely positioned to straddle the preverbial knife edge and understand the issues from both points of view.
