How can we lie about those who are dead in the ground? Did it ever occur to you skeptics that you're believing your own lies?

@Pikachu
describe what you earnestly believe to be the position of myself and people who believe as i do.
That's what I've been doing.
That's what I've been doing.

@GodSpeed63 See, you are proving the point. Nowhere in this thread have you answered @Pikachu's question. If I'm wrong, show us the answer.
@GodSpeed63
*sigh*
Look. I'm just asking you to honestly share your understanding of what our position is.
Directly, explicitly, genuinely.
Either do it or don't. I can't keep trying to coax you into honest discourse if you're going to keep dissembling.
So for the final time, a straight answer for a straight question: Can describe what you earnestly believe to be the position of myself and people who believe as i do?
Go ahead🙂

Thanks, Pikachu. I feel overwhelmingly grateful to you for posting this videoclip.
I get so tired here of the various attempts by religious people to convert me. Most are various forms of fundamentalist Christians, one has way out fringe new age ideas, and one is an ardent Hindu living in India.
When they finally realise that I've already thoroughly studied their faiths and don't accept the validity of their holy books, they turn nasty. I remain firmly polite throughout the conversation, but they always turn out to be hate filled and not peaceful people at all.
If this video helps even one of these bigoted people to be able to understand others who don't agree with their views, then that will be a wonderful achievement.

Religion on just a neurological bases is beneficial. Religious people no matter their orthodoxy are generally happier and healthier than their Atheist counterparts. This is scientific.

dont argue religious nuts from an atheist point of view. they wotn get it.
instead mock them by being a devote follower of the flying spaghetti monster or a follower of odin etc... thats way better for your mental health and you might actually get to them

@IlovePeaches
lol honestly i'm far more interested in clear communication, understanding and robust debate than in mocking.

r'Amen, sister, r'Amen.
r'Amen, sister, r'Amen.
@IlovePeaches Pikachu is not mocking, nor even trying to persuade others to our point of view.
He is aiming to open up conversations that permit theists to have a better understanding of atheists.
Theist is not used in a derogatory manner; it specifies a particular way of believing which differs from deism.

Mr Pikachu, with all due respect, please don't use the word 'Theist' because its a slur

@Jm31xxx
detract validity from the teachings and wisdom of Jesus by associating Jesus with Buddhists and other nutty religions
Members of other religions could call christianity a "nutty religion" but, unlike christians, they have respect for others.
it's the way Atheists say the word. They say it with derision and contempt
I've never used nor heard it like that. You seem to be trying to find offence where none is intended. Considering your attitude to other religions, you're hardly in a position to complain anyway.
