Mr Pikachu, with all due respect, please don't use the word 'Theist' because its a slur

@Pikachu there's Atheist and there's Catholic and then there's Miscellaneous. When people use 'Theist' they are wilfully conflating Catholic and Miscellaneous so as to detract validity from the teachings and wisdom of Jesus by associating Jesus with Buddhists and other nutty religions

@Jm31xxx Theist is just a general term referring to someone who believes in an active deity.
@Jm31xxx
Exactly. It's just a label denoting certain characteristics.
Mammals are warm-blooded, furred, give birth to live young and feed them with milk.
Theist is nothing more than a label denoting the qualities of believing in a god or gods. That is the only spiritual implication of the label.
What additional implications do you think are being made?

Members of other religions could call christianity a "nutty religion" but, unlike christians, they have respect for others.
it's the way Atheists say the word. They say it with derision and contempt
I've never used nor heard it like that. You seem to be trying to find offence where none is intended. Considering your attitude to other religions, you're hardly in a position to complain anyway.
