Christians, Are there any specific verses in the Bible that talks about inviting/asking God into a situation? [Spirituality & Religion]

Of course, God is everywhere(Omnipresent) But is there anything that talks about inviting Him in or examples of other Biblical figures doing this? Thanks in advance!

btw, I'm asking because, I told a friend to ask God into his situation and responded, God is omnipresent, which is true, but... Ya know. 😊

NOTE: Any negativity will be deleted, this is not about what right or wrong or who believes is what. I'm asking a question to my Christian community.
Matthew 7:7 - Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

The barriers are on our side.

Do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving make your requests be known to God and the peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

There is the question of God is omnipresent but there is also the question of God’s immanence and the fact that God wants a personal relationship with each one of us. Just look at the prayers of Jesus in the new Testament

God has promised in Malachi
“ Give me your first fruits and I will open heaven for you and pour down a blessing so much that your barns will be full!”
You can read my post on how God answers prayers and you’ll see that I was broke and I gave the little that I had to church and to a Christian radio station on faith after my husband left me with two small kids, and right before my rent was due a lady knocked on the door and gave me $22000 I could pay my rent!

Daniel was thrown into the lions den and God made the lion fall asleep.
You did the right thing.
God bless you and His peace be with you 🙏

Lots of scriptures tell us to pray for the needs of ourselves and others.

If somebody feels weird about inviting God into a situation, it's probably either the wording that they don't find logical, or awkwardness about visualizing God (which can be controversial). There is a school of thought in which pepole are told to visualize Jesus and ask Him a series of questions. It's called listening prayer, and there's some controversy over it.

@Carazaa that's actually how I realize there is a God when me and buddies were playing with spirits at the Haunted area when I was young.

My journey was weird to accept Jesus in my life latter on but it's worth it. No more weird Journeys for me lol

Yes Rev 22 explains that we shouldn’t add to revelation when God shut the Bible he is not showing up in this life visually any more so we know it’s not Jesus but demons!

@Carazaa Yes. I don't mess around with visualization stuff.

Joseph was thrown into a hole in the ground and then accused of rape and was thrown in prison but he trusted in God and God eventually made him prime minister of Egypt!

If you repent and trust in what Jesus did for the entire world because he loves us No harm will come to you

“Ask me anything in my name, and I will do it for you John 14:14

Yes God is Omnipresent but that doesn't mean He is going to intervene in every situation you get yourself into. You need to ask Him to be there in order for that to happen.

In the book of Job, “Job” was sick for months but he prayed to God and God restored him to health!

Yes king Nebukanessar repented and was saved from Gods wrath!
God orders Abraham to kill his innocent son. After Abraham did some begging God relents.

@Carazaa Absolutely!

@Carazaa Amen!! He is worthy to be praised!!
@BlueRidingHood Abraham was a man of faith. Totally faithful to God. He did not beg God to spare his son, Isaac. Hebrews 11:19 says, “Abraham reasoned that God could raise the dead, and figuratively speaking, he did receive Isaac back from death.” He knew that if God wanted him to sacrifice this son, God could raise him back to life. God could still keep his promises and make him his heir. God could do whatever God wants to do.

Abraham trusted God with his best, and God did more with it than Abraham ever could. He made this one child, the father of the Hebrew people. Through Isaac’s descendants, God brought his own Son, who died on his own sacrificial wood, the cross, as our sin offering to God.
