Christians, Are there any specific verses in the Bible that talks about inviting/asking God into a situation? [Spirituality & Religion]

Of course, God is everywhere(Omnipresent) But is there anything that talks about inviting Him in or examples of other Biblical figures doing this? Thanks in advance!

btw, I'm asking because, I told a friend to ask God into his situation and responded, God is omnipresent, which is true, but... Ya know. 馃槉

NOTE: Any negativity will be deleted, this is not about what right or wrong or who believes is what. I'm asking a question to my Christian community.

Lots of scriptures tell us to pray for the needs of ourselves and others.

If somebody feels weird about inviting God into a situation, it's probably either the wording that they don't find logical, or awkwardness about visualizing God (which can be controversial). There is a school of thought in which pepole are told to visualize Jesus and ask Him a series of questions. It's called listening prayer, and there's some controversy over it.

Demons show up in ghosts Jesus show up in the Bible and in your heart!

@Carazaa that's actually how I realize there is a God when me and buddies were playing with spirits at the Haunted area when I was young.

My journey was weird to accept Jesus in my life latter on but it's worth it. No more weird Journeys for me lol

Yes Rev 22 explains that we shouldn鈥檛 add to revelation when God shut the Bible he is not showing up in this life visually any more so we know it鈥檚 not Jesus but demons!

@Carazaa Yes. I don't mess around with visualization stuff.
