does god really exist? [Spirituality & Religion]

i notice that people have a lot of experience about spirits so they may exist but no one has experience of god
Here is my testimony I promised:

HOW I FOUND JESUS

I was so lost in the 70’s. I just never understood life back then, being so young. I made such stupid, horrible mistakes. Because of that, I found myself dying in my bedroom, in my mobile home, about 11:30 at night. I knew I'd be dead by morning, and when you're to that point, that is a very sobering thought! Think about it. All of a sudden you are going into eternity, and you're not sure exactly where you will end up. That's not a good place to be at that point in time, when you can pass at any moment, and not sure if you’ll go to heaven, because when you go into eternity, there's no coming back and changing your mind!

So here I was, where I put my own self. I had tried my best to find God for years, but just could not grasp it or understand it. I said, “God, please help me find you, I don't know how!!” I went on down the road, wanting to do everything my way. I even went to church and walked down that aisle a few times, to accept the Lord as my personal Savior. Guess what happened. Nothing!!! My life didn't change one bit. I’ll tell you why, in a minute.

I kept doing everything I wanted to do. I finally figured out why I could not find God, but that didn’t happen until the Lord so graciously put me in a place where I had no other alternative but to look up, for rescue. A quiet place, where I could do nothing but listen, as I sought answers.

Here I wanted to accept the Lord, yet still live the way “I” wanted to, and not the way He wanted me to. I found out in the end, when I got honest about it, that my selfishness and ignoring the Lord, was the reason I could not find him or feel his spirit. More importantly, because God didn’t want half my heart...He wanted my whole heart. When you love someone, you give them your whole heart, right? That's the way it supposed to be, anyway. They don't want half your heart. When you give them your whole heart, that tells them where your heart truly IS.

So with my last breath, before I lay down to die, I said “Lord, I’ll be dead soon, and I just now realize that I don't have any idea of where I will end up for sure. I do know I want to be in heaven with you, but I don't deserve it. I ask you to please forgive me of all my sins, and let me be in heaven with you when I die. I don't know if you can even hear me, but that's what I'm asking for. Please forgive me for wasting this precious life you gave me, so willingly and lovingly. Please let me make it up to you, for those years that I wasted. If you will let me live, I promise to make it up to you and tell everyone I know about you, and your great love for them. Thank you Jesus for all you are, and for all you have done by dying on the cross for my sins, so that I might live in heaven. I love you Lord, and I will prove it to you, if you’ll give me a chance. Amen.”

To my uttermost shock in the whole world, I woke up alive the next morning. The sunshine beaming from my bedroom window onto my face, is what woke me up. I was so grateful and thankful and shocked to be alive, I could not believe it. This God of the whole universe heard my prayer, of all people. He really did hear me, and I just could not believe it. Not only did he hear my prayer, he healed me instantly, and I was so happy and joyful, with tears rolling down my cheeks, I jumped up in the bed and ripped the curtains apart to look outside, and what I saw, I have never seen again. Because I was made new in Christ, everything looked new and different, and “I” was different! I had never in my life, seen colors like this!!...so much deeper, brilliant, and bright! Not only that, the best part was, I had the greatest peace and joy in the whole world . A peace the Bible says passes all understanding. I thanked God so much that day and cried and praised him for letting me live.

I still feel that joy and peace, in the presence of the Holy Spirit that God put in me that day. That is what we all get, the Holy Spirit, the second we say "I do believe" to Jesus, and invite Him to come into our heart and lives...the very second we ask him to forgive us of our sins, and turn from them, and begin to live for him. I have kept my promise to the Lord, since I met him that day, on July 23rd, 1973, and have told everyone that I know about Jesus, but have not tried to push my beliefs on anyone. I just share what I know about him. I would not trade him for all the riches and gold in the entire world. I found out that the key to salvation is total commitment. Not half our heart. I do not worship him out of fear, or because I have to. I serve Him out of total love for what he has done for me and for giving me a second chance at life. When he died in my place, to cover my sins with his precious blood, He gave his very best for me. How could I give Him less?
I’ve had an experience with God, and still enjoy fellowship with Him, in many ways. I’ll find my testimony and send it to you. You can know God is real. Every believer knows that, no guessing, because when you accept Jesus as your personal Savior, He sends the Holy Spirit to live in you and guide you. That’s hard for people to understand, and was for me, before Jesus saved me, but I assure you...when you accept Jesus as your personal Savior, that’s when you’ll know who He is. The Holy Spirit is a real spiritual being...part of the Trinity, which is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. When you receive salvation, the Holy Spirit comes to you, and lives in you, placing God’s Spirit in you, and He seals you with the Holy Spirit of promise, which is eternity with God in Heaven. You are then welcomed into the family of God. When your time here is up, you’ll go to heaven for eternity.

@LadyGrace thank you so much for sharing your experience about god. i will try best to pray god
That’s wonderful. He always hear your prayers. He promises and He never breaks a promise. If you’d like to read my articles on God, there are many...over 1500...under my profile. I will pray for you and your family to know God. @amrit19901990
amrit19901990 · 31-35, M
@LadyGrace thanks i will😁😁
He definitely exists. Followers of Jesus, all over the world, have experienced God. His Holy Spirit lives in the body of the believer upon confession of faith, the evidence being transformation of lives, that only the Holy Spirit can do. So yes, there’s no guessing whether Jesus is real. His Spirit leads, guides, and directs us. That sounds like foolishness to those who do not know him, but I assure you, once one invites Him into their life, there’s no question about His existence.
TheWildEcho · 56-60, M
@LadyGrace yes that's exactly what I've experienced
Yes...wonderful. Thank you. I appreciate your testimony. @TheWildEcho

I don't believe God exists. Actually I don't know what a God IS since theists have trouble defining it coherently.

I might be one of the few atheists who declares that certain gods don't exist. It's not a mere lack of belief. It is a belief. The Christian god YAWEH for example Does Not Exist.
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@Doomflower So which gods do you think might exist?

And why single out the god of the Abrahamic faiths (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) to say he does not exist?
Doomflower · 36-40, M
@sarabee1995 the kind that I have not heard about. Or maybe a deist God but as far as I am concerned that's the same as no god.

Because it is the dominant faith in my culture.
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@Doomflower Okay so you accept the possibility that there may be a god or gods, but you've concluded for yourself that the God followed by Jews, Christians, and Muslims around the world, the God of Abraham does not exist. Interesting.
Yes he does, he is visible to the people who love him :)
amrit19901990 · 31-35, M
God is Spirit, yes. Not visible to us. @amrit19901990
@amrit19901990 No, built that's because His mission was over.... to To bring salvation to anyone on the earth, who wanted to accept Him as their Lord and Savior. Even though you could not see Him. His Spirit has always been here. You don't need to see Him. Ask you have to do is pray and He'll definitely hear you and act on your prayers of faith. He sure did mine, and hundreds of others.
BondGirl84 · 36-40, F
That's cos God doesn't exist
FurryFace · 61-69, M

Harriet03 · 41-45, F

Rhodesianman · 56-60, M

FurryFace · 61-69, M

JJKale · 56-60, M
Religion is a psychological illness and should be banned completely
amrit19901990 · 31-35, M
@JJKale agreee
You’re so right! Religion certainly is nothing but man-made philosophy. Salvation requires one to come down off their psychological, self-righteous high-horse, stop judging others, and have a personal relationship with Jesus.
@JJKale
JJKale · 56-60, M
my point exactly you have a nice time with your own personal jesus......@LadyGrace
Rhodesianman · 56-60, M
I don't believe as far as I am concerned if there was such a person why would he allow so much evil and death to exist sorry but if I was almighty I could not sit back and allow what goes on .
Wow you really are brainwashed save souls like watching kids stabbed to death or killed in wars and car accidents or starve to death through no fault of their own .No Thanks sorry don't need to believe in someone who wont even protect the innocent .What sort of god is that or kids that die in childbirth .You keep believeing in that I feel sorry for you .You really are a mug .
I see you really have no understanding of God, Yet you judge someone you don’t even seem to know. Man has free will. Sin comes from within. What you’re witnessing, is a God who loves us enough to show us exactly what this world is like with sin in it, and why we need Jesus. This world needs to wake up and receive salvation, before Jesus comes back to take His church/followers of Christ, out of this world, before the Great Tribulation is ushered in, right after the rapture takes place.

By the way, I’m no mug. Just an informed follower of Christ, rather than swayed by every wind of doctrine thrown out by false teachers, Jesus spoke of. Jesus said only a fool says there is no God. If you knew the full story, you’d see that without Him, we’d all go to hell. This world isn’t for long. Every one of us, should be grateful He died on the cross, so we could spend eternity in heaven. Or do you prefer the alternative? God’s Word also says, if we’re ashamed of Jesus, he’ll be ashamed of us when we meet Him face to face. He’ll say, “I’m sorry. I never knew you. Depart from me forevermore.” You have free will. It is YOU who makes that choice. God won’t make it for you, but you won’t be able to say you didn’t know you must make that choice. When you choose not to follow Christ, you’re telling God you want nothing to do with Him. Ever. He will honor that choice.

Rhodesianman · 56-60, M
@LadyGrace If I ever do meet this god you are so adamant exists , He and I will be having words if you know what I mean .I cannot praise a being you reckon is almighty and has the power to stop whats going on and doesn't sorry I cant .As far as the bible goes its adult fairy tales written by a load of nutters .
Since we’re human, and not yet a part of the spirit world, it can be easy to judge God, but that is so unfair, because we can’t see into the spirit world to know enough of what is really going on behind the scenes, so to speak, to make a fair judgement. However, who are WE, that we would judge the great “I Am”??

Knowing who God is, and that He’s perfect, He is always fair in judgement and is a just God. He’s always right, regardless if we understand or not. Everyone always blames God, when all He wants to do is save people from hell. That doesn’t sound like someone who is out to harm people. He sure wouldn’t have died for our sins so we could have eternal life in heaven, if He was evil, but in the last days, Jesus said people will call good, evil....and evil, good, which is happening these days. There’s a flipside to that coin. His name is Satan, and he is listed as the great deceiver and a great liar, who wants nothing more than for people to go to hell.

Jesus also told us that for right now, we see darkly, as if behind a darkened veil. We weren’t meant to know all the answers or understand everything until we go to heaven. Jesus wants our focus on the most important decision man will ever make, and that is, whether or not to accept Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior and live for eternity in heaven. After all, that’s the most important thing in the Bible. It’s the most important decision we’ll ever make in our life, to follow Jesus, as that determines where we’ll spend eternity. All else pails, in comparison to that. Jesus is not willing that anyone should miss Heaven. Are we so caught up on particulars and in striving to understand it all, that we can’t see what’s really important, and miss heaven? What a tragedy. We’ll understand it all, when we die.

Since you’re such an “adult”, and insist on calling people nutters, like a little kid, towards those who love and serve God, this conversation is now closed to you. I just won’t be disrespected because of my beliefs. I may not have the same beliefs as other, but I respect their opinion, without the need to bully them.

When all meet Jesus face to face...and we will...it’s a fixed appointment, whether anyone believes it or not. It will be kept, and we'll soon see which were the foolish. Miss heaven and Jesus, and you’ve missed everything. I guess you think you know more than God. Good luck with that.

Yes...I’m adamant about knowing God exists. I know He does. I’ve met Him in a spiritual way, as I prayed to Him, and I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for Jesus. It’s not a guess. He’s a sure thing, but no matter what I’d say, those who want to know Him, will.....and those who don’t, won’t. That’s their prerogative. There’s always skeptics, but that won’t change God’s plans.

hertoy · 70-79, M
I think it depends on your definition of God. Someone or something of greater power and wisdom than humanity exists...where? Who? How does that power interact with us? Don't know...
@hertoy He interacts through the Holy Spirit speaking to your heart and mind. We communicate through our spirit and conscience. You know when you're living for Jesus or not, and if you need Him. Our Spirit longs for Him to have fellowship with Him. We can listen to His voice speaking to our spirit, or we can ignore it. He gave us a conscience to know right or wrong. He tells us how
to know God and let your spirit live in peace and fellowship with God. We hear Him through that still, small voice in our mind.
Doomflower · 36-40, M
Oh and what is a spirit? What do people mean by that word?
Doomflower · 36-40, M
@amrit19901990 so what is a soul?

Is English not your first language?
amrit19901990 · 31-35, M
@Doomflower no no english is my third language. really i dont know how to explain you
Doomflower · 36-40, M
@amrit19901990 it's ok. Communication barriers.

I do find it humorous how many will believe in some far fetched alien beings in the universe, or bow to some man made clay image, or ghost figures, or some literal devil with a pitch fork, etc..but not a God.

It is true. He exists. If you question it than your believes are not deep.
Straylight · 31-35, F
I couldn't definitely say. All anyone can give you is their opinion on the matter.

I've had plenty of experiences of God.

There is an experience of God that does exist from the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and finally the Savior.

the problems with spirits is while there's evidence for them its not always particularly convincing as there's usually alternative explanations.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
Says who? Many of us have experienced Yahweh. He is Spirit.
