Satanism: a proper way of life? [Spirituality & Religion]

Most modern religions reject all things pagan and wiped out most traces of pagan gods and rituals, then replaced it with modern religions like Christianity and Islam. They aren’t very accepting of science either.

I read about some pre Christian societies such as the Celts, Picts and Norse and even the odd fact or two from ancient societies in the south americas, especially the mythologies from the ancient side of mankind, they all had a pantheon of gods and goddess to worship back in the day.

From what I heard of Satanism is that they’re more of a knowledge seeking people with an interest to supporting scientific advancements as well as encouraging others to think for themselves and not be led under false pretences.

Considering all things primal, Satanism and Paganism are the two practiseim more interested in compared to all the drama of modern religions. In my opinion.

first, I don't think we can put together paganism and Satanism as they are totally different from each other and it is only a prejudism from the church which have associated paganism with Satanism. Paganism predates Christianity. also, the definition of Satanism that you are implying refers to the church of Satan of Anton Lavey which although they have chosen that name are really not Satanists since they technically do not believe in Satan and are actually atheists. The church of Satan is more a glorification of our raw, animalistic nature, a celibration of edonism and freedom. at a time which was still very controlled by chistian ideology it gave them a sense of breaking free from endoctrination to call themselves Satanists. Even the satanic bible in large part is just a philosophical statement about freedom and a new perpective of humans based on reason and science and ridiculously mixed with the enochian calls of John Dee but replacing the words god with satan and angels with demons. Satanism is the worship of Satan and must imply a belief in satan and in this way is no more scientific than any other religion. Paganism is a loose derogative term given to ancient practices and worship.

@reflectingmonkey nicely said!! when i was in rome a few years back i learned that the coliseum was actually a pagan structure. so when christianity moved into rome they were supposed to destroy all pagan structures. to get away with keeping the coliseum they said it was on sacred ground, blood drenched from all the christians that died at he hands of the lions. turns out.. they would have never risked injuring a lion on a "filthy christian" and there was just a menacing building up the road where all the christains were killed. its still there too!

I always liked the 7 Satanic tenets better than the 10 Commandments anyway..

THERE ARE SEVEN FUNDAMENTAL TENETS.
* One should strive to act with compassion and empathy towards all creatures in accordance with reason.

* The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions.

* One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.

* The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo one's own.

* Beliefs should conform to our best scientific understanding of the world. We should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit our beliefs.

* People are fallible. If we make a mistake, we should do our best to rectify it and remediate any harm that may have been caused.

Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word.

@Pherick That all makes a lot of sense. If we lived by those rules we'd all be happier.

@NortiusMaximus Amen to that! 🤣

Christian is not a religion.

Christian Means "Christ" following Jesus instead of Religion.

The World is against Christ because Jesus's Kingdom is not from this world.

Holy Spirit is not from this world. The gospel is not from this world.

Heaven is where Christ is at

@GypsyKing: I don't want to be "saved", much less pestered by them. They should be grateful I don't just punch them in the face.”

Well, there you have your answer. Real nice attitude. I see you’ve made your choice. I see you bash Christians, all over your profile. You do the same thing you accuse Christians of. I’ve never bashed your Wiccan beliefs or anyone else’s, yet in the past, you’ve gone out of your way to write something snotty in my posts. And you talk about me. Fix your own attitude, before you criticize others. And while you’re at it? Stay off my posts.

@suzie1960 Looks like "ladygrace" (lackofgrace more like) has replied to my post then blocked me. I presume the snotty cow didn't actually present any real evidence. That xtians all over. Make ridiculous claims then run away when challenged.
@Lynda70 She's a nasty piece of work alright. :(
Druidry was recognized as an official religion in Britain in 2010, I believe. Polytheism was never meant to represent an hierarchy of Gods but like the paut neteru and sepher yezirah represented a 'flowing forth' of a universal essence and the different 'fields of activity' which it manifested. Only the understanding of those fields of activity has been lost, however, that understanding is still prevalent within the Kabbalah today.
@EugenieLaBorgia Another dullard bites the dust.
@Basswizardofmiddleearth Say: "Goodbye, Eugènie"!

Question is....will following Satanism, get you to heaven? It won’t.
@LadyGrace Nor will anything else because "heaven" doesn't exist, it's all a myth.
LadyGrace · 70-79
@NortiusMaximus Time will tell.
Rickg · 31-35, M
Most don’t understand that what most people refer to as Satanism is a protest to the church and organized religion
LadyGrace · 70-79
A protest, but more so, worship of Satan, whom they claim as their god. @Rickg

Most religions still celebrate pagan holidays
True, I wished they didn’t have to suppress the celts and the druids though.@MrBrownstone

"not be led under false pretences" from your post, i believe that disqualifies itself. lol!! i agree with you on all religions sucking and being abused though. but.. if there is a satan, then there is a god, that being the case.. would you like to pick teams again? lol!
LadyGrace · 70-79
@FunReader55 You have no idea how right you are. If there’s a hell, there’s a heaven, and where there’s satanists, there are followers of Jesus. Both sides swear they’re right. Time will tell, but greater is He (Jesus) that is in me, than he [satan] that is in the world.

@LadyGrace It’s Multon’s Paradise Lost version of the story
LadyGrace · 70-79
@FunReader55 Hmm. I’ve never heard of that. Thank you.

@NortiusMaximus she didn't worship him nor were any definitions made and also you'd have to accept Eve as real
@Jackaloftheazuresand According to the babble she took His advice. I don't have to believe she's real, I'm pointing out what a book of myths says about it.
