Satanism: a proper way of life? [Spirituality & Religion]

Most modern religions reject all things pagan and wiped out most traces of pagan gods and rituals, then replaced it with modern religions like Christianity and Islam. They aren’t very accepting of science either.

I read about some pre Christian societies such as the Celts, Picts and Norse and even the odd fact or two from ancient societies in the south americas, especially the mythologies from the ancient side of mankind, they all had a pantheon of gods and goddess to worship back in the day.

From what I heard of Satanism is that they’re more of a knowledge seeking people with an interest to supporting scientific advancements as well as encouraging others to think for themselves and not be led under false pretences.

Considering all things primal, Satanism and Paganism are the two practiseim more interested in compared to all the drama of modern religions. In my opinion.

"not be led under false pretences" from your post, i believe that disqualifies itself. lol!! i agree with you on all religions sucking and being abused though. but.. if there is a satan, then there is a god, that being the case.. would you like to pick teams again? lol!
Nah I’m all good being a rational man lol! But then again common sense is rare these days..@FunReader55

@Basswizardofmiddleearth hey, i don't believe in either of them but i'm aware of the story. lucifer was ripped from heaven where he had been God's biggest fan. His love so deep for God that when he was told to love mankiind like he loved God it disgusted him and he refused! the action of that direct betrayal of God spawned Sin. as punishment for this betrayal he gets the boot and falls from grace. his hatred for mankind remains, fueled by the love we cost him.

if you think its rational to think he's over that.. knock yourself out!

but i don't really care who you choose out of either fictitional character. i thought that part was so cool when i first read it!! like the darth vader reveal!! \m/ metal forever!!

@FunReader55 Again, Satanism doesn't involve a necessary belief in Satan

@FunReader55 Not in religious studies. Atheist Satanism is accepted as a form of Satanism as long as Satan is a core symbol and there are practices associated with it. In fact the equivalent Hebrew word for Satan in the bibles semantically simply refers to opposition.

It's because the christian church had long tradition of using that label on heretics the way you and others do that it seems like the only reasonable option.
@FunReader55 That story doesn’t even match the bible.
@FunReader55 You have no idea how right you are. If there’s a hell, there’s a heaven, and where there’s satanists, there are followers of Jesus. Both sides swear they’re right. Time will tell, but greater is He (Jesus) that is in me, than he [satan] that is in the world.

@LadyGrace It’s Multon’s Paradise Lost version of the story
@FunReader55 Hmm. I’ve never heard of that. Thank you.
