Satanism: a proper way of life? [Spirituality & Religion]

Most modern religions reject all things pagan and wiped out most traces of pagan gods and rituals, then replaced it with modern religions like Christianity and Islam. They aren’t very accepting of science either.

I read about some pre Christian societies such as the Celts, Picts and Norse and even the odd fact or two from ancient societies in the south americas, especially the mythologies from the ancient side of mankind, they all had a pantheon of gods and goddess to worship back in the day.

From what I heard of Satanism is that they’re more of a knowledge seeking people with an interest to supporting scientific advancements as well as encouraging others to think for themselves and not be led under false pretences.

Considering all things primal, Satanism and Paganism are the two practiseim more interested in compared to all the drama of modern religions. In my opinion.

Christian is not a religion.

Christian Means "Christ" following Jesus instead of Religion.

The World is against Christ because Jesus's Kingdom is not from this world.

Holy Spirit is not from this world. The gospel is not from this world.

Heaven is where Christ is at
@SW-User Meaningless rhetoric, christianity is no different from any other religion or superstitions.
SW-User
@NortiusMaximus that's what all man would say..no worries
@SW-User Of course, because that's what it is.
SW-User
@NortiusMaximus what I mean man...

I mean "Man Alone" maybe you should do some research and hopefully have a relationship with Christ for your sins

Never live sin by you're own..it won't get you anywhere
@SW-User
Christian is not a religion.
Uh...Christianity is definitely a religion.
A christian is one who follows the teaching and religion of jesus christ.
@SW-User Why would I want a relationship with your imaginary friend. Maybe you should do some research and join us in the real world.

@LadyGrace I have; there aren't. What do you think the differences are? I can't seen any difference between christianity and any other set of myth or superstitions.
@NortiusMaximus Not true. Check them out. There’s a big difference.

@LadyGrace OK, I read it all but it doesn't explain why your beliefs are any more valid than those of followers of other religions. As you admit, other religions teach that their god is the only true god. Simply saying your god exists is no different from someone saying some other mythical being exists.

Norse Pagans believe Odin is real. Perhaps they're right and you're wrong, it's only a matter of belief.

@LadyGrace Of course, you're entitled to believe as you wish but I know people who are at least as certain that their gods and goddesses are real. They will all attest that they have experienced the god and/or goddess in their lives so they have no doubt they are real. They can all say their gods and goddesses have transformed their lives. I know that's true in some cases as I've seen the way they changed when they began following their path.

I don't share their beliefs, their paths are not for me but but that doesn't make them wrong.

@LadyGrace According to them, their god or goddess did create everything, just as you believe yours did. What makes your belief more valid than theirs?

Your god did not create me. Your believing that doesn't make it so. Others could say, with equal validity, that their god or goddess created me. All the available scientific evidence supports the Theory of Evolution. I have no need to hypothesize a supernatural "Master Designer". If I were to, I would then have to explain where it came from. In any case, it's clear that the universe was not designed by a "master" of anything, there are too many bodges. A first year engineering student could do a better job.

You ought to read the Theory of Evolution before dismissing it out of hand. The evolution of the eye is quite simple, there is nothing ludicrous about. Many would say the idea of a magical "man-in-the-sky", who came from nowhere, creating everything out of nothing is ludicrous.

If the laws of nature (physics) were different, the universe would work differently. There's nothing miraculous about the way it works. If it didn't work, it wouldn't exist and we wouldn't be here discussing it. It really is that simple.

I believe in UFOs but I don't know if they're alien space vehicles. We can't know what they are by definition. I have no idea how many galaxies there are but the number is so high it's inconceivable that Earth is the only planet with life on it.
@NortiusMaximus Time will tell.
Wow. That really does not even deserve a reply. Unbelievable. You’ve got it all figured out. You’re smarter than God. I’ll leave you with all that wisdom. I saw in your profile where you hate Christians and make fun of them and their beliefs. I have no problem at all with that, or with you not believing what I’ve written about God. To each their own, however unbelief from anyone, won’t change God’s plans. You’ll see that in time, and that’s not being arrogant, because there are so many things about God that you still don’t know, yet assume He’s a fairytale. If you’d check out the bible, you would see how every one of the prophecies in it, up to this point in history, have come true. No other book in history could accomplish that. None. Isaiah prophesied that a Savior would come, and described His death to perfection, even noting that not one bone in His body would be broken, 500 years before it happened. And it happened just that way. See, what you don’t know, is that with every crucifixion in Jesus’ time, the guards never failed, after the crucified person died, to go back around and break the crucified one’s legs, to make sure they were dead. They didn’t do that to Jesus. Isaiah prophesied that, as well. That not one bone in His body would be broken. Explain that one away. I’m sure you’ll think of something. ALL Isaiah’s prophesies came true. Every one. History backs it up. Just as all the other prophecies up to today have come true. That’s no coincidence. That shows the divine authorship of the Holy Spirit, no matter who denies it. No other book in history is so accurate. The Bible is an endless plethora of spiritual wealth, and is as up to date as tomorrow’s newspaper. Prophecy is being fulfilled right before our eyes. And guess what. In the Bible, the Holy Spirit foretells our future, with perfect accuracy, even before it happens, because unbelief won’t stop any of God’s prophecies from coming true. You can count on it. Time will tell. Every single prophecy in God’s Word, shall come true, whether any believe it or not. It speaks of many things that are happening right now, prophesied in that Holy Book with complete accuracy. It spells out every single thing we’ll be facing. And how it will happen. Prophesied from thousands of years ago! Pure evidence of the accuracy and divine knowledge of the Holy Spirit. Explain it away all you want, it won’t affect God’s plan at all, and for those who mock Him, calling Him and His Word fairytales? May God have mercy on their souls. He will not be mocked. By the way....as predicted in the bible, pretty soon....and it’s in the works, machines and all...we won’t be using currency anymore. We’ll be using chips under our skins to buy groceries and such. And yes....you were made by God. That’s in the Bible, too.
@NortiusMaximus I accidentally erased this. No need to reply about it again, as I replied to your answer to it, down the page.

None of the other’s gods, offer salvation. But of course as you have said. It’s a matter of belief. I used to think it was all a put on act, myself. But I sure found out differently. Boy, was I wrong. I experienced God when I prayed. So that’s why I don’t have to guess. I know he is real. No doubt at all. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have spent the last 45 years telling others about him, but not like some fanatical people do. I don’t push my beliefs on others. I talk about Him out of love and all he’s done for me. He actually transformed my life, like he has thousands of others. The Holy Spirit does that. And He is the evidence that God truly is real. I would have never believed it, had I not experienced it for myself. I don’t like all these phony evangelists on tv. However, not ALL are bad. Charles Stanley is a good one. They make me sick, and they turn people away from wanting to know Jesus. This is what it’s all about. ...it boils down to, we’re all in the same boat. We need to find a way to have fellowship with God again, because our sins separate us from Him.

Religions fail us every time. I follow no one but Christ, because my faith stems from Him...not man. Christian just means follower of Christ, not some religion, which is as He meant it to be.

Here’s the key. The determining factor of one's authentic faith relationship with God is not one's denomination, religious practice or performance in Christian disciplines, but rather the presence of the indwelling Spirit of Christ, upon confession of faith. As it is written, “if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. (Rom.8:9) Jesus' invitation always stands open for anyone to receive forgiveness, be welcomed into his family, and live eternally in heaven.
@LadyGrace What you say about your beliefs is really no different from what others say about theirs. Nothing you've said even suggests your beliefs are more valid than their either. The so-called "prophecies" in the bible are vague and open-ended. As they're so vague, sooner or later some event will occur that could be said to fit the "prophecy".

You say one event was prophesied 500 years prior as if that some how validates it. What it really means is that it took 500 years before some random event occurred that could be made to fit the so-called prophecy. As time goes on, more events occur so the probability of an event occurring by chance that vaguely matching the prophecy increases. It's simple statistics.

Do you think the legends of other deities (e.g. Greek, Roman, Norse etc.) are just fairy tales? A lot of christians try to dismiss them as such.

An Odinist could say that, no matter what you say, you can't change Odin's plans. You can deny Odin all you want but you can't change the fact that He is real.

I know people who have studied the christian bible, one in particular is very well versed in it and I've learned a lot from her. They're all Atheists. I think that should tell us something.
@NortiusMaximus The prophesies in the Bible could not be clearer. Not vague at all. If they were vague they wouldn’t have been so precise. You have no basis to say that, since they’ve all come true, up to this date, and not by chance. Say what you want. Time is the proof. Excuses won’t hold up before God.
@LadyGrace I've just shown why time is not proof, why the validity of a prophecy diminishes with time. For a prophecy to be valid, it needs to be precise and specify a precise time frame. Simply saying 'something vaguely like X' will occur isn't a prophecy; saying "X will occur on a specified date at a specified time" is and I, for one, would definitely take notice if it came true.

Back at you, say what you want, your excuses won't hold up before Odin. (I choose Odin because I've had some interesting and informative discussions with Odinists.)
@NortiusMaximus You haven’t shown anything. History backs up what I say. Search it out.
@LadyGrace
You haven’t shown anything. History backs up what I say. Search it out.
Maybe you missed it, here it is again -

"You say one event was prophesied 500 years prior as if that some how validates it. Well, what you said, isn’t meant the way you interpreted it. Jesus said it takes the Holy Spirit to interpret the Word. He is received upon confession of faith. @NortiusMaximus
