Brush teeth first

You can only vote on one answer.
I thought brush teeth first and then wash your face is just common sense.
But my husband kept telling me I’m doing wrong.
I know that he is eccentric many ways and I even showed him the answer from google, he still doesn’t believe me.
What kills me is that he thinks I’m the unusual one.😹

It's a choice. You can either stimulate your facial skin to bring better blood flow to the inside of your mouth to augment subsequent brushing and bacterial removal from the oral cavity.

Or

Brush first to bring maximum bacterial extrusion from the oral cavity to be washed away around the mouth with the washcloth during face washing.

Or rotate the process to keep the bacterial deposits at minimum and suppress damages to the gum and facial skin to mediate damage maximally for wrinklage suppression of the maxillary region.

End of the day, doesn't matter. It's a personal choice.

@SteelHands Thank you for the factual detailed answer. 🙌👏
The poll shows most people brush teeth first and I agree it’s a personal choice in the end.

@skybubble20 Ofc yw. Here we see mostly the west's medical monopoly word as the most publicized source of health information. Few advisory links to less profitable Athisic Taoism Appalachian folk or foxfire victuals are ever offered to the great masses of people. Though in some cases they can be helpful, I believe.

While many know that correct and regular facial skin stimulation inhibits premature skin aging or pointed pressure nerve addressing can also improve certain conditions nobody seems to understand the why.

The multitude of ways the body work is as wondrous an spenderously diverse as each unique human biology is also.

I wash my teeth and brush my face. Is that wrong? 🤔😬
skybubble20 · 56-60, F
@Degbeme wait, you are making me confused….🤣
I don’t think there’s a right and wrong order to things.

I brush my teeth first.
I can't vote because there's no choice for "It doesn't matter".

I usually brush my teeth first then wash my face. Why is your husband privy to what you do in the bathroom? That may be the real problem.
@skybubble20 I didn't want to say this because I don't know you or him, but his opinion of your hygiene habits sounded too much like an early step at control. It begins with silly little things that don't really matter, then builds from there. Keep yourself aware!

@notyouraveragedummy thank you I know it’s better to be cautious. Over the years I learned his type of thinking and I had to let him know his common sense is not right sometimes.
I put salt when I boil pasta for him and he was mad and I had to show him cooking directions, if he doesn’t like salt I won’t using it anymore but it suggests for using salt for better pasta, after that he learned to accept general cooking method.
Nobody can cook for him before but he enjoys my cooking now.
Everyone can be stubborn and I adopted more flexibility and trying to show him there are many ways to do something.
@skybubble20 OK. As long as you're not the only one adopting flexibility. Best to you!

itsok · 31-35, F
I wash my face first, morning and evening.
itsok · 31-35, F
@skybubble20 oh? why’s that? I’m very into skincare.
skybubble20 · 56-60, F
@itsok Dermatologists and dentists agree—brushing your teeth should always come before washing your face. "Toothpaste residue can irritate the skin," says Richard Lipari, DDS, cosmetic and general dentist in Chappaqua, New York.
itsok · 31-35, F
@skybubble20 hm, I’ve never had a problem with skin irritation from toothpaste. But I guess I’ve never noticed that I leave residue behind. It seems like an everyday exfoliant would be more harsh on the skin.
I’ll only start worrying when you pour the milk before putting cereal in the bowl

He's nuts. Brush then wash. So you can get the toothpaste off your lips.

Brush teeth then face just in case you get toothpaste spillage onto your face
AngelKrish · 26-30, M
After teeth brush, go straight for mouth wash then face wash...🤪
2cool4school · 46-50, F
Alternate your routine and or flip a coin for the first one?? Idk 🤷🏼‍♀️
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
I really didn't think there is any science to show if there is a correct answer. But, i didn't not know everything, so i just googled the question. There are many responses saying always brush first and never leave toothpaste residue on your lips and face, it is apparently an irritant and is bad for the skin.
icedsky · 51-55, M
Shave and wash my face first typically
