@OlderSometimesWiser I lacked 3 months of being 20 years old when I offered myself and my virginity to my boyfriend. He was also a virgin. Somewhat hesitant.
8/14/1966 a night we both remember. A few weeks later things went south because I was stupid. In November this other guy convinced me to become engaged and along with that expected sex. We had sex maybe a dozen times before I flunked college and went home a month later. He had had several partners.
Four months later I started see the guy I had given my virginity to again. I struggled for a couple of months before sending the ring back to the other guy. The guy I had given my virginity to never pushed for sex and we didn't have sex for 4 months. He wanted me for me.
I married him 12/16/67. Had three other guys early in our marriage before getting my head screwed on straight. I've been married to that wonderful guy for 58+ years. My infidelity has caused a lot of pain and problems.
If I would never have slept with another guy the problems would never have happened.
I wish I had never slept with any other guy. We shared something special by being each other's first.
That was a special bond that I think few couples share.
It was 60 years before my husband shared what he felt physically and emotionally that night 8/14/66 and he remembered the date. I couldn't find anything to say for at least 10 minutes. It was so beautiful what I described. He didn't just want me he wanted all of me.
