It's suboptimal because they are salting burned ground, but times is hard

The salt would damage the environment, plus you can’t use a plane to scoop it up unless the surface is glassy. I would imagine helicopters aren’t much better equipped for that. On top of which, saltwater corrodes equipment much much faster than freshwater.
I'm not at all qualified or knowledgeable in this area, but yeah! Let's do it!

It'd put out the fire but the ecosystem will not recover due to the salt content.

@Longpatrol the environment will recover in time. When we salt the roads to stop ice does it stop all future vegetation?
I think the salt would damage the environment

@MrBlueGuy that is the concern; for sure, but freshwater sources are running dry.
Do you have the device to get the water out of the ocean, right now? And I swear if I find you on the beach sucking on the cut end of the garden hose.... I'll take pictures.

Hm.. is putting fire with salty water a good idea?
exchrist · 31-35
@Khaira what choice do we have?

In my country we fire bomb, choppers fill via fresh water rivers, dams & swimming pools.
