John Williams who went undercover to expose right wing militia groups

Members included lawyers, doctors, police. He said he helped stalked liberal journalists and exposed a lot of right wing nationalists undercover operations. Most militia members are able to easily spread because they are in fact upper class people. And after Jan 6th, helped spread it even more.

Although I had a thought, how the heck can you still think you got it bad if you're actually in a privileged job in the first place? I've always suspected that the nationalists who complain of discrimination haven't actually been affected, they just want to maintain power.

I've even said that to people here, they hate on immigrants and I ask them how their lives are impacted but to be honest, they're just the equivalent of rich yuppies with a victim complex. They think everything is about them.

Has always been the case. No one listened to minorities about it and the gullible were gaslit with self-interest or bribery. The enemy has always been within. One of my least favorite Presidents is Lincoln, because we should have never had a civil war to preserve this unholy, unGodly union. So much would have been prevented if The South had been left to rot.

We could have quarantined the evil. But no ... We integrated it. Now we are IT.

@GeistInTheMachine Haha I'm crazy too so that's okay 👍 actually there's some things I said years ago that's literally came true in every single way possible so I don't doubt you. And I'm not even an expert, some things are just common sense and you can smell the consequences a mile away. If you know, you know and if you don't then everyone else pays a price lol

@SatanBurger You're crazy in a good way, so don't worry.

@GeistInTheMachine Haha this conversation gave me a chuckle, thanks for the compliment 😊

There is an ever present fear that if there are too many immigrants they will take over positions of authority and then treat the rich white people the same way the rich white people treated them. It's not about being a victim, it's about the possibility of being a victim.

That fear exists on both sides by the way. One side is just about exercising control and trying to prevent change while the other side is about trying to be more equitable now so that if demographics change then that equity will remain in place. It's a better mindset but it can still come off as patronizing.

@SatanBurger I never said they were smart. If they were smart they would realize that not everything has to be set up in power hierarchies. But they aren't, and they are locked into that mode of thinking which is why they can't imagine other solutions.

@ViciDraco I do hope you didn't think I thought you were saying that at all though

The American Revolution itself was a tax revolt by men of means. The British needed to raise revenue after its long war with France, which actually kicked the French out of the "American" frontier. Some thanks!

Washington himself wanted to be a British Officer. The arguments against King George were misplaced as it was the British Parliament that raised the taxes.

The fetishization of the "militia" was unfortunately enshrined in the worst piece of law ever to be passed by the US -- the Second Amendment.

@Fukfacewillie That's interesting. Why do I feel like most of history has been babysitting the richies. I feel like we have to coddle them or they'll go psychotic.

I think I've figured out what goes on in their heads. They've got a warped understanding of what's happening in this country. They see people saying that they are victims and getting money from the government, so if they lie and say they've been victimized, maybe they can get some. They don't understand that these people have actually suffered, because they don't view them as people.

@LordShadowfire well said 💯

@BohemianBabe okay edited it, thanks 👍
@SatanBurger There usually is some kind of bigotry involved when people make arguments about diversity being bad. We've seen that it's gotten to the point where the whole argument is she can't be qualified, she's a lesbian.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@BohemianBabe Oh yeah and even pointing out their achievements that they have worked hard for gets undervalued. You can have all the evidence in the world that they are qualified but that don't matter to a bigot.

They'll straight up say something like oh they probably had it handed to them or they probably cheated or they lied.

I'm sitting over here all like.. this person obviously worked hard and you're really that petty huh. Crazy, that has to be the most unhinged thing I've heard of.

And I'm sure that they will be out there picking strawberries when all the immigrants have gone.

You're hilarious but seriously get help and medication or life will always be a scary thing

@SW-User Gaslighters gonna gaslight, it's a personality flaw on your end 🥴

Oddly, the main villain from the new Indiana Jones game got it spot on:

“Nothing is quite so easy to manipulate as an insecure male!”
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
@SW-User Because it was inspired by history! Hitler said that, too. It's just paraphrased.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
It's all a right wing conspiracy to those who believe that 'right wing' is anyone who even remotely disagrees with Karl Marx.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@hippyjoe1955 That's weird cos during COVID you shared a lot of posts from unknown people on Facebook talking about what some doctor said or the other. I remember looking it up too cos no doctor existed lol.

But now all of a sudden you no longer believe Facebook? Like mmmmkay

@jshm2 Haha yeah money can't buy confidence or other things those types of men lack. You can have all the money in the world but personal issues won't magically disappear. The only way is to identify weaknesses and work on them. Be able to sift out what is good advice or not to be able to grow as a person. But people don't want to put in the work, they just want it handed down.
