Birth rite citizenship is a constitutional RIGHT. Just as much is the right to bare arms or practice non Christian religion is.

No matter how much it'll disliked. The constitution is the constitution.
Patriot96 · 56-60, C
The birth rite citizenship was written to give rights to the children of slaves brought here 200 years ag not to illegals sneaking over our bordero

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow tell me you were sick the year they taught history
@Patriot96 I know for a fact you failed history.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@Patriot96 Tell me you skipped history because you knew you were joining "the base" and wouldn't need to know it.
The 14th Amendment says that "all persons born or naturalized in the United States" are citizens of the United States.

This is not something Trump can decide on his own. This is a matter for the courts.
@Arboven You mean the same court more corrupt than a third world dictatorship? Or the ones that are loyalists to him.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Arboven you left out the rest
Corporalcolleague · 61-69, M
It would seem that for our new President the US Constitution which he swore to protect and defend is an inconvenient document just like the "concept" of three co-equal branches of government...like during his first term he is going to spend a lot of time in court when the opposition pushes back..but that's his thing, no? I'll see you in court...and wait you out
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@Corporalcolleague Well... he didn't REALLY swear to defend it...

... although he did air-kiss his wife.
Corporalcolleague · 61-69, M
@MarkPaul oddly there is nothing in the Constitution that states that anyone needs to put their hand on the Bible....a nice tradition....and I would LIKE to think it would mean something...but it wasn't a "Trump" Bible that Melania was holding...
the constitution don't read get knocked up come to the U,S,A get free hospital care, free housing all your life,
@MarkPaul if kids were raised right its don't happen
@jackrabbit10 Unfortunately you are proof of what happens when you defund public education.

That is not a thing.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I am 83 now ,quit school in the 3 grade to get a job, tell me about it
LLcoolK · 51-55, M
I certainly don't want my right to wear sleeveless shirts take from me!! I will always stand with those who choose to protect my right to bare arms!!
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
This is just the start before they take away our guns... by executive order.

MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@RoguishEyes If the libs do it... it must be right. Let's copy it. So... Elon is just copying what he's seen others do. You know... like a little kid.

Real, unedited pictures...

Don't you mean the right to practice any religion. And birthright citizenship by legal immigrants yes. But running over here to get your feet dry and having an anchor baby is not and that has been abused for far too long
Birth citizenship kills your past, cuts you off from the old countries. And it's how you pretend you are really a country as you remove the natives. But pushing people out is priceless!

@jshm2 It's not the case in every country at all. In my country, for example, if neither of your parents are a citizen then neither are you.
Yep. I'd be nervous if I was an American married to a foreign person.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic Ahhhh. No wonder Melania was hiding her face behind a bizarre wide-brimmed hat.
@MarkPaul She's first lady, not a problem for her.

Man, did she look fed up, probably used the hat to be even more distant.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
It was misinterpreted. Birthright citizenship has specific criteria. Not just cross the border.
Well they did just elect a guy who said he would put that constitution through a shredder if it gets in his way.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
Yes but with a careful read you realize the liberals lied
Thrust · 56-60, M
It's too cold to bare arms!
DDonde · 31-35, M
It's already being challenged by 18 states.
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
Unfortunately, that document can be interpreted incorrectly by bad faith actors with seats on the Supreme Court who uphold that document.

Their gross misrepresentations have caused great harm in this country previously and took far too long to be undone.

@Sevendays I am not defensive. Tell you what, let's give trump a chance.
Sevendays · M
@MasterLee I truly hope he is successful, that out country is better off. I don't want him to fail because he's Trump.
Sevendays · M
@MasterLee don't confuse my concerns about the future as hoping he fails. Concern and positive hope can coexist.
