It’s time to face a hard truth

If you were abused as a child and the way you cope with it is to put others down to make yourself feel better…

You are weak and you never dealt with your abuse. You have become the same problem you were dealt as a child.

Mostly true. Yet no two people are alike.

I don't like generalities. It's the exceptions that can cause problems in most things.

@LordShadowfire Never said that some abuse isn't abuse. Just that no two people can view abuse the same. It's a individualistic thing.

She most certainly didn't want to be hit! Just controlled.

Some would view such control as abuse. She didn't.

That's exactly right. If you inflict the same pain on others that someone inflicted on you, that makes you just as bad as your own abuser.

Seek counseling instead. That's not a sign of weakness. Refusing to go is.
