It’s time to face a hard truth

If you were abused as a child and the way you cope with it is to put others down to make yourself feel better…

You are weak and you never dealt with your abuse. You have become the same problem you were dealt as a child.

Mostly true. Yet no two people are alike.

I don't like generalities. It's the exceptions that can cause problems in most things.

@DeWayfarer Yes, exceptions always cause problems, without exception.

@DeWayfarer You reject generalities like “if you abuse others you are bad”?

That doesn’t make any sense

@PalteseMalconFunch What's is abuse to a masochist?

What's abuse to a sadist?

What's abuse to a submissive?

What's abuse to a dominant?

I once saved a girl from what I thought was in a abusive relationship. He was hitting her. She thanked me for it and we were close friends for years. Some might say a bit more than close friends and I would have agreed with them.

So I asked her eventually to marry me. Her answer was no. Because "I was too nice", that is a quote. As well as she had been dating someone else that wouldn't let her get into trouble.

She wanted someone to control her wild behaviors. I couldn't do that. Her wildness was what attracted me to her.

She married him shortly thereafter and moved away to his home state.

BTW my personality type in the BDSM community is called a switch!

I could be both submissive and dominant by their own testing.

My online traits only reflect this switch behavior. And they quite noticeable. As some might atest to.

I do have a lot of known blocks against me. Yet it's mostly by the political and the religious.

I have yet to block anyone in almost nine years on this site.

They can either take me or leave me. I have no desire to be popular. Which can be shown in my profile view count, over that almost nine years.

@DeWayfarer Now you're nitpicking. Even amongst those people, there is such a thing as abuse that we can all agree upon.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@LordShadowfire No not necessarily, you have to know them to understand them.

BTW I made a scientific post about the brain that really shows why no two people are the same.

Generalities must be truly vague to be real.

Specific generalities just can't be true. We are just too different on the basic level.

@basilfawlty89 wasn't for you anyway! 🤷🏻‍♂
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@DeWayfarer Well, here's a generality that's pretty much always true. Gaslighting people into thinking abuse isn't abuse, is bad.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@LordShadowfire Never said that some abuse isn't abuse. Just that no two people can view abuse the same. It's a individualistic thing.

She most certainly didn't want to be hit! Just controlled.

Some would view such control as abuse. She didn't.
