While I was waiting for a bus earlier, two men walked into the bus station

One of them wasn't from here and he was completely blind. The other man was helping him.

After a brief conversation with them, I learned that they didn't know each other. The blind fella was meant to be picked up by his brother but there was a problem with their car.

The other man had found him wandering along the main road out of a town and had taken him to a bus, bought tickets for them both, and traveled halfway across the county with him to help him get back home safely.


That story made my day. Northern Ireland may have its share of trouble and unpleasantness, but there certainly are some very decent people here.
