I miss taking care of senior citizens, I miss their company

@Bexsy so sad they couldn't keep it up. Infuriating actually considering the bs that always does get funded.

@Notsimilarreally it really is infuriating. So much nonsense that isn't needed gets full funding. A lot of times I was the only person they saw for weeks at a time as family lived far away
@fungirlmmm the center where meals was cooked was a non-profit organization. I did towards the end work completely by volunteering. Even cooking. But, the center lost its march of dimes funding and everything. We managed to keep it open to serve in town residents only.

@Bexsy we need more advocacy for seniors on their own, everywhere.

@OlderSometimesWiser well they also need some stricter standards as to who they hire. I heard so many bad stories doing in home care. So many girls want this job because it's unsupervised and they can just sit around, because old people are vulnerable and they steal, devious reasons.
