I'm always me... more so than I first thought.
I once met someone online and we just started messaging back and forth..nothing personal, just how he was alone and lonely and needed a friend... and we got into a conversation about baking and he mentioned chocolate cheesecake. So, I baked a chocolate cheesecake, took pictures and sent them to him. He was surprised and happy. Said nobody had ever done that for him and he loved it, even if he couldn't eat it. I do those kinds of things for a lot of people...here and on internet.
I put my heart into things...even topics.
And eventually, I put my heart into that man until he died.
I am definitely the same no matter where.

I’m pretty much myself although I probably come across as more confident and not quite as sensitive

Nobody is really always "one way" them. We have a basic personality that is affected by our moods, which are affected by in and outside influences. That being said, far to many feel braver behind a screen.
CastorTroy · 36-40, M
@ravenwind43 This is true!

I don't know who else I am going to be...🤭🤭🤭.
I am not afraid of being physically abused online, so I suppose I say what I really think, instead of trying to hide behind a silent, self protective façade.
However, I really can't deal with "verbal" abuse, even if it's only written, so I block people who are abusive in that way. I am probably a little too proactive with my blocks, so I even block people who are abusive toward my friends, and I block people who, I can see well in advance, will become problems in the future.
Perhaps I'm a coward. I've been accused of that.

@4meAndyou No, not a coward but you are loyal to your friends and that is a good thing. None of us should have to deal with verbal abuse of any kind, by mouth or in text.

It isn't necessary to insult anyone who posts things online. You can object and disagree without being mean and threating to others' opinions.
CastorTroy · 36-40, M
@MaryJanine I agree. Some can make a career out of arguments over nothing.
MaryJanine · 70-79, F
@CastorTroy I'LL say. I posted one reply to someone who spoke about Trump. You would think I suggested we burn him at the stake! My comment was neither nasty nor mean. But he cussed me up one wall and then the other.
CastorTroy · 36-40, M
@MaryJanine Having an opinion sometimes seems to insult someone's intellect. Best to let them stew in their own juices!
Beatbox34 · 31-35, M
It's the same. I still do my best to help anyone in need and love humor.
I see no reason to live two different personas.

I don’t try to be funny offline .. pretty much have my head down every where I go

It changes the more I drink, I've noticed.

100% me
JustNik · 51-55, F
I wouldn’t say my personality changes, just the parts I show of it. I tend to omit more of the bits most likely to lead to the drama I don’t want here. For some, I imagine it’s quite the opposite.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
I'm pretty much the same; perhaps a bit more outspoken here.
Ryannnnnn · 31-35, M
I'm the same but I can word things better when I type.
CastorTroy · 36-40, M
@Ryannnnnn I get that.

I'm more serious and random online than offline. I agree, some SWeepers do troll intentionally over nothing.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
always me I'd say, however I'm a lot more open on here so you get to see more than others
