And he responds to criticism by saying "It's time Ukraine got a new president". He is surely a Russian agent.

@helenS Best of friends, worst of enemies . . .
@SunshineGirl says
And he responds to criticism by saying "It's time Ukraine got a new president".

Even worse, tRump tries to tell Ukraine to find a president who can make a deal🤣😂

Speaking outside the White House and before traveling to Tennessee, Trump accused Zelenskyy of prolonging the war and hurting global fuel supplies by hitting Russian energy infrastructure. Trump said, "I suggest they get a new leader who can make a deal because he could have made many deals and for some reason he never does".

This from the guy who has been promising an imminent Iran deal for the last six months🤣😂

It's not a few gallons of diesel.... It's Trumps reelection and for him no price is too high for you to pay
peterlee · M
@Convivial I gather getting a new President in Ukraine helps his votes too.
Waveney · M
President Trump has finally shown his true colours. He's been with Russia all along. Wait for the US to start openly assisting Russia militarily against Ukraine.

@Waveney
Trump has finally shown his true colours.
What do you mean finally? He's been like this from the beginning.

A few hours ago Garry Kasparov posted:
It's all been bullshit. All of it. Diesel, energy deals, peace negotiations, everything between Trump Co. and Putin's mafia is a charade. All they're doing is laundering money and trying to lift sanctions. It's all they care about and all they know how to do.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@newjaninev2 Kasparov gets it. And he is a man who sees many moves ahead on the board. Of course. The average MAGAt with a pickup with a huge flag hanging out the back is way smarter than a Chess grand master...😷
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@whowasthatmaskedman Oh yes, the cult devotees sure do love flags... except for their country's flag.

@Strictmichael75 It's yet another stunt - political theatre.

The tiny amount of diesel was loaded elsewhere after being bought elsewhere, and has been in transit since a few days before trump even started this nonsense.
Look, america, might I suggest that the next time you have a Presidental election you don't elect putin again?
peterlee · M
At least Trump understands the various strands of Islam. And can tell his Sunni from his Shi’ite.

The Middle is safe in his hands.

Or not🤔
SunshineGirl · 41-45, F
@peterlee Phew, that's a relief! The last thing we need is another clueless westerner blundering into a complex ethnic conflict with not the faintest idea what he is doing . . .
Khenpal1 · M
Trump can't insure ships and cargo, be it diesel or crude. Insurens is up 27% on oil. If Russian ships arrives in usa without Insurens who will pay for the risks ?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Khenpal1 Not Donald...😷
Khenpal1 · M
@whowasthatmaskedman shadow fleet in on us congres sanctions list. USA do not have own insurance firms for ships. In such case who pays if a oil tanker sinks at usa coast? India and China take the risks, but they hang on the bills in case. Would usa oil companies pay the bill ?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Khenpal1 But if the US doesnt clean it up. It will be their beaches..😷

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout zboy wants to be king for life, even if he's king over a pile of ashes; as for why so many nato member politicians keep propping him up, I imagine they're getting a lot of kickbacks from all that taxpayer funding he's getting showered with...
@wildbill83 the billions of dollars the autopen sent him would pay off all those necessary to try kick off WW3..

The entire purpose of the Ukraine war is to drain Russia. This will prolong the effort, but the strategic aim will remain. Ukraine will be propped up long enough - and only that long - to achieve that goal.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@DownTheStreet The entire purpose of russia's war against Ukraine is to further the imperial ambitions of the russians.

That's why russia invaded Ukraine in 2014 and why the russians began murdering Ukrainian men, women, children, and babies, in 2022.

There is no other reason.

The russians bring nothing except destruction, suffering, and death.
val70 · 56-60
Well, two years ago I told that they couldn't win the war. That hasn't changed yet. They can't. Somehow we're waiting for the orange to fall and have another fruit in the White House.
helenS · 36-40, F
@val70 that's up to the American people. Some will keep licking the emperor's boots believing they are free.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Just a little side note. The amount of Diesel (assuming it arrives and is processed to modern standards that dont choke a modern diesel engine) will solve the diesel shortage for about a week at current consumption numbers..😷
peterlee · M
@whowasthatmaskedman But it may provide Trump with a few votes in the midterm elections in the grain growing States.

It will also reduce inflation in European countries for a short time.

OK it was morally wrong for Russia to invade Ukraine, in defiance of International Law. It weakens cooperation in NATO, and enables Putin to move into the Balkans. But surely a few more votes for Trump in the short term, overrides this.

It stinks!
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@peterlee I have no doubt that you are correct. But equally I have no doubt that if the Diesel does arrive which I doubt, it will be more expensive than currently thought and will likely be rejected for quality standards upon inspection. Brazilian beef anyone? Its getting hard to have any sympathy at all for any Americans right now..😷
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
when you're out of it, society comes grinding to a halt, and you're freezing to death in the dark in the middle of winter; you can probably answer that question yourself... 🤔
SunshineGirl · 41-45, F
@wildbill83 He has negotiated the sale of less than a week's worth of what Americans normally consume. There is no danger of diesel running out, simply the politically inconvenient spectacle of relatively high prices. So the question still remains, "Is it worth sacrificing a sovereign nation for?"

@TexChik @peterlee I love seeing an honest view of this situation.
@TexChik Zelensky has been risking his life ever since the Russian attack started. If he had been that corrupt he would have sold his country to Putin. Like other leaders did.
TexChik · F
@EarthlingWise yeah those flights over here and to Brussels can be dangerous
