Do you sometimes impress yourself? How so?

With each secret of the cosmos I unlock I feel wowed that I did it. My latest is proving a specific pattern for the destruction and creation of events. This is it:

Not massively. Im quite fit though so even though ive had medical issues since 53 im still able to cycle 20 plus miles of hilly terrain with relative ease. My VO2 max lung capacity is on parr with people in thier 30s.

@AnnaWasHere Wow. Im not that good 😆 My brother Tony whos 70 though did a 800 mile cycle through france last year. Hes much fitter than me. Your grandfather sounds like he was super healthy. Kudos to him.

@Perry1968 He was a smoker, but spent his life as a carpenter.

@AnnaWasHere They say strength is the last thing to go. His career clearly kept him physically strong. I do know keeping our legs strong helps. Hence why i cycle and walk when possible.

I would put it this way: If the ambitious person I was at 25 could look ahead and see what I have done since then, I think he would feel satisfied. Not everything hoped for, and a lot harder than I ever imagined, but pretty good all the same. All well.

@Rambler That's great. You did well!

Not now, but I look back at some of the things I did and I am impressed.
exexec · 70-79, C
@AnnaWasHere That was over 50 years ago.

@exexec ... as coach.

@AnnaWasHere None of today's kids would listen to me. I've tried.
JoyfulSilence · 51-55, M
Should one of those be an anti-C particle? 😁
AnnaWasHere · 22-25, F
@JoyfulSilence Sound or should?
JoyfulSilence · 51-55, M
@AnnaWasHere

Should.

That was a typo that likely got changed by auto-correct.
