Why are many men so egoistic and self-important! I am losing hope in existance of good men day by day.

I checked your profile to see what country you are talking about. India. So I feel I am not too far off in saying it is a cultural thing.

You might need to communicate with men who did NOT grow up in India to find a man who was raised in a different way.

I don't think that it's a gender thing.This behaviour is becoming more and more common among both men and women these days(maybe social media is the reason?).Time will teach them to be humble.

In other words, why are you so offended by a male being confident, maybe your standards are way above every decent male. Look in the mirror and you may find the problem

There are egoistic people in both gender. It's just that you feel that while interacting with the guys, because that is where the ego comes to play the role in your interaction.

I do meet men & women both with ego and without ego too. I would say most of my male friends don't have ego, in other words I only make like minded friends.

Well, the problem is you have unrealistic and misguided expectations. Perhaps you are looking for someone who is afraid of his own shadow so you can get what you want, take out the competition so you don't have to compete, and create an unlevel playing field.

It is hard enough to figure out what girls/women want and how to navigate the social order without having even more restrictions placed on us as alpha males. Just be a "good woman" and the rest will fall into place. Is that too much to ask?
