(50 years ago my youngest brother, then 16, stole two nickel-plated revolvers from our father. Initially he denied any knowledge about the theft. After a week or so, the officers took him to the station, and hooked him up to what they said was a polygraph. They asked his name and he spilled his guts.) I don’t think it WAS a lie detector. Cities with population under 10k do not commonly have such tools.

@alongalone I also saw that the Boulder police had announced in mid-December 2025 that they have new evidence and conducted new interviews/re-interviews in the cold case. DNA technology and also working with the FBI, though they haven't revealed specifics of the new findings, but keeping the case a top priority.
